Friendly staff (we were from out of town), friendly locals, cheap beer and sports on the tv. Everything you need from a local watering hole

If I could give this a place zero stars, I would. We walked in at 11:03pm on a Friday night and the bartender said she’d stop serving. Like it’s not even midnight. What kinda tavern is this! Don’t recommend this place.

Stopped in to play some pool. Atmosphere was laid back but the bartender laid out her problems and business to every customer that came in. Was a major buzz kill, couldn't tell if she was drunk. Next time I'll bring extra dollars for music. Other than that, we'd come back for pool.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. Except that from the outside, the Third Street Tavern looks like what it is. It's a local watering hole for people who live in the neighborhood and want pool tables and inexpensive drinks. My order was warmly taken and my beer was opened. I was offered a glass. I say with my Miller Lite and watched the comings and goings for a bit. One and done. It's an A-OK spot.
Parking: Free lot in the back or street parking.

Old gray headed dude that works the liquor store is a total tool. I had three beers from the attached bar and then went outside to smoke cig out front when he came he told me I had to leave cause I wasn’t inside buying anything. Very rude and unprofessional. But in a side note, Melinda was one of the coolest bartenders I’ve ever had. Courteous and kind but with some serious spunk. Made the experience half worth it.

No complaints
Love going to neighborhood pubs when I am out and about. The bar keep Bobby had great conversation as well as the regulars. Even found a uconn fan.
