Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

This is my first visit to this Dairy Queen. I usually go to Sonic on the other side of town because you get more for your money. However, I figured I'd give this DQ a try since my hotel was down the street.

I noticed the dining area was clean and was quite busy. A tall young guy took my order, and either he was not in the mood to be there or was tired. I say that as he seemed to have the "I don't want to be here, demeanor." I didn't take this personally, obviously, but it was not an enthusiastic or happy presentation.

There were two young ladies also working in the background (or drive-thru), and I saw an older lady pop up in the back as if to monitor the situation. One of the girls made my Blizzard, and I was given it right away. So the service was pretty quick, and my Blizzard stayed cold long enough for me to enjoy back at the hotel. I've been to some DQ's where the ice melts down rather quickly, and this one didn't.

Overall, the customer service experience could have been a little better but everything else was great.

The woman with the oxygen on was really nice and fast. Food was good, blizzard was good.

Stopped by on our way through, the facility is nice. I ordered a plain Reese’s blizzard like basic DQ order, but got the Reese’s pieces cookie dough one. I avoid gluten instead of making it right they just stare and say, “huh?”. Total waste of $7.

The guy working was very kind, but there were so many issues with my family’s food. My son wanted a mint chocolate milk shake… they didn’t have anything mint, which is a sort of unique flavor, so I would have been understanding, except that his second choice was a chocolate milk shake, and they didn’t have any way to make that (no chocolate ice cream and I guess no chocolate sauce?). So he settled for a vanilla milk shake. My daughter got a strawberry milkshake, which had chunks of strawberries, which in general would be awesome, but they were so large that you couldn’t drink the milkshake. They also got the chicken tender meal thing, and there was no butter on the toast, so it was just some really dry bread. The butter on its own wouldn’t be enough to give a poor review, but when it’s on top of other problems, it seems pertinent.

My food was actually great, I got a cheeseburger and a cookie blizzard, but my son is the one who does the rating for our reviews (although I bumped it up from the 1 star he wanted to give).

I've been here many times. I always order dine in with the fam. Until today. I tried mobile ordering from the app. The entire goal of that option is to make ordering on-the-go an easy and fast option.Well, I suppose with better studying of and use of the app, I could figure out how to order with coupons. So, the plausibility of that strike for ease-of-use is on me. As for the fastness of it, not so much. They didn't even start making my order until I got there, which nullifies the whole reason of ordering ahead. And the customer load wasn't anything bad, I've seen it worse. And they had adequate staff.I chalk it up to ol' Grants ways......always behind because technology is to hard.

Parking: Free parking, just really small lot. And busy since it's at a gas station (albeit expensive)

Kid-friendliness: Ice cream is always a winner!

This DQ has yummy food and excellent service. Rojelio does a wonderful job as the cashier. He always greets us, remembers us and goes out of his way to provide great service.
