We tried this restaurant about a month ago and the food was delicious. Stopped in again today looking forward to some great fajitas. Unfortunately what I got today was old Grizzly dried out beef with no flavor. Served barely warm. Come to find out they were closing early because they ran out of food! That now makes sense as I feel like We got half a meals worth of old dried out garbage! Couldn't even finish it. 50 minute wait and barely edible. Won't be back.

Classic (and delightfully hot) enchiladas, burgers, etc. real deal NM food, not to be missed!
They have a mild menu if that’s a concern, and gluten-free options

The Valley Cafe is always the place to stop for that genuine Hatch Chile flavor as you’re going through this small town! The service is always great and the owner Becky always makes sure you leave with a smile! I urge everyone to stop and eat here! You won’t be disappointed.

Thank you for the incredible lunch for our special occasion today! The green enchiladas, red chile, meat, beans, and rice all hit the spot—everything was delicious and satisfying. Your service, as always, is impeccable. It’s hard to get food to go that is actually hot, but you nailed it. Thanks for making our day special! Becky, you are amazing!

Green Chile lovers this is is the real deal! I loved it so much I came back 2 days later to get their amazing huevos rancheros again. Super nice staff helped teach me how to add my own pork for the 2 jars I bought to take home with me. Valley Cafe you are part of what makes NM special!

Had to try a green chile cheeseburger here to compare with the famous Sparky's version just down the street. The valley cafe Lara burger is delicious. But I can't really compare Valley's with Sparky's. Both are delicious in their own ways. I loved the green chiles, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion on the Valley's version. It was a hunch over the plate juicy tender burger and stands on its own as a great green chile cheeseburger. The fries were crispy and delicious too. Their bacon, egg breakfast sandwich with hash browns was good also!

Many folks were dining in and eating it was 12:30 Saturday. We sat ourselves as the sign stated. And the waitress kicked us out and said they were closed. Never experienced that, we are new Mexican. Pretty strange

Great local spot in Hatch! A lady recommended Valley Cafe while I was buying red chili peppers—she was right. We seated ourselves, got chips and salsa right away (salsa had a nice kick). I had the red/green enchilada plate with beans, rice, and an egg—everything was flavorful, especially the green sauce. My son had a bean burrito with rice and liked it too. Casual, friendly, mom-and-pop vibe. Worth the stop!
