Celebrated a private wedding anniversary here. The food buffet style had a variety of choices, was delicious, the atmosphere so friendly and I enjoyed my time visiting with friends I hadn’t seen in quite a while.

Read reviews about the pork chops, but they weren't to be found on the menu. I opted for the fajita burrito smothered with green and cheese. The green sauce was different from typical New Mexican fare, it was more like a gravy, very hardy. The chips and salsa were very good. The chips fried on site and salsa house made.
This place is definitely a local favorite, I went at 11:40 and almost every table was filled, infact every chairs was filled! This is a great place for groups and friends. People were in the patio in 50 degree weather, this place is that good!
Park across the street at the park because parking is limited.
The food is great, get the steak salad, that's what I'll get next time!

What a wonderful restaurant! My vegetarian meal was delicious. The service was impeccable and when the bill came my jaw dropped. Two beautiful dinners plus wine and extra takeaway orders of chips and salsa only $ 45. When I mentioned my surprise to my son he also couldn't believe it and checked to see if I read the bill correctly. Thank you for a great dining experience at a surprising affordable price.

Absolutely delicious food. Service is variable. I still highly recommend this place! You have to try the house made bacon and the smoked carnitas.

Best restaurant in all of New Mexico! Our favorite! We drive from El Paso to go as much as we can. Love it so, so much. Clean ingredients. Quality ingredients. Always fresh. Not pretentious. Fantastic food! Great desserts! The tacos are great! Chalacas are great! Steaks are great! Pancakes are amazing! Nice drink selection. Everything is great! And Lucky is a wonderful server.

Best breakfast ever!!! Must get the Blueberry Creme Pancakes. Best to get and share with the whole table. Carnita hash omg.....exceptional! The bacon and sausage made from scratch. The jams are incredible. Chala's tea is a must. Great service! Thank you for making our morning a great kick-off to our day!!!

Chala’s is our family’s favorite for 8+ years. Try the: chips and salsa, green chile chicken enchiladas (w an egg), pastor tacos, chicken tacos. burger, ribs, Huevos Divorcados w Red sauce, and carrot cake are delicious! You can’t go wrong. Owners are a wonderful family.

Took 15 minutes to acknowledge us at the table and drinks took another 15 minutes and only one of us got theirs. Finally they took our order, after waiting another 1/2 hour we asked what was going on, the waitress then brought us chips and salsa to keep us entertained till our order was out. She said they had a big group, so that's why we wouldn't get ours, but we saw people come after us and they were taken care, some even left before us. Yes, we ate the food, we were starving by then, make them wait long enough and we eat anything. If they would have told us, there was a 20 minute wait, instead sitting us down and making us wait, we would have chosen to leave and come another time. Now we don't ever want to comeback. There was just 2 of us. We got there at a almost 1 pm and left at about 2:30 pm or later.

We got the carnitas burritos. It was BBQ pork not carnitas and I disliked that flavor. My husband thought it was okay since he does enjoy that kind of flavor, but not what we wanted or expected. Even with the wood fire grill name. The salsa was good.

We were seated and greeted very quickly! They had the college football game going, it was nice and clean, we loved the atmosphere. We got the carnita fries for an appetizer with the Christmas sauce and it was 10/10 extremely good! I got the carnitas hash and s/o got the burrito and they did not disappoint. The meat was soo good! Thank you Amber for great service, and experience. First time in New Mexico!
