Best burritos in town
We stopped here because I heard they had ceviche and I am glad we tried the place. My husband had the shrimp cocktail, which he liked but he said he would order something different the next time because he wants to see what other dishes they make. I had the ceviche with shrimp and octopus. Very tasty! Atmosphere is very basic but mostly because it is a very small place. Probably around eight or nine tables. I would go back.

I had the mix soup to take out. It was delicious.
The restaurant is small, 7 tables, but nicely laid out and neat as a pin.

We discovered Mariscos Boca Del Rio Y Comida Mexicana in Las Cruces, NM, through a quick Google search, and what a find! This small, family-owned restaurant is tucked away next to a carwash, so it’s a bit tricky to locate, but trust me, it’s worth the effort.
When we arrived, we were the only ones there, which made the experience feel intimate and cozy. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home.
We both ordered the Beef, Potato, and Green Chili burritos, and they were absolutely delicious. The highlight for us was the homemade tortillas—they were so fresh and flavorful that we couldn’t resist ordering extra to take home.
If you’re looking for authentic, homemade Mexican food, I highly recommend this place. It’s a true hidden gem, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

SUPER EXPENSIVE TO SAY THE LEAST. The service was ok for a small little place like that but I can say in comparison to other near by restaurants in Las Cruces- this spot is simply overpriced. The fish tacos and the fish plates are expensive. To make a close comparison -Miguel's restaurant nearby has the 3 fish tacos for $14 and shrimp cocktail Lg for $14 for $14 dollar each , but here in this small shack ( No more than 6-8 tables) you find both items at $18 each. So technically each fish taco is $6 each!!! The small shimp cocktail here was $16, while the Lg one is $18+.The average fish tacos in Las Cruces range from $2.50 -$4, but clearly this place has made a way to sell them at $6. The owner tried to make a claim that she sells it by FILLET piece not by the TACO. Anyways, the food itself for that price could have be plated better. The fish fillet plate we order was no bigger than 5-6 inches long and with a side of mexican rice and 1 lime, again for $18. The owner tried to justify our $87 ticket for 2 adults and 2 children as being what food ranges around here. She clearly lied. For overpriced tacos, I would rather go to a better high end spot not this small shack-that does not even offer chips and salsa for dining customers. Miguel's restaurant will definitely be our go to next time. The 4.6 rating was what made us come to this place. Which left us beyong disappointed.

I made an honest rating on Squareup. After I made a review I get a text saying to to stay in EP because of the review. Talk about unethical! We ordered a shrimp cocktail, ceviche and 2 soft drinks and it totaled 51.00! Definitely over priced!!!! Not worth it!!!* Quality is "ok" not the best either. I mentioned Little Shack in EP because they do offer quality, service st a great price. We stopped because of the Google ratings ?I will post the rating I originally gave and their response. Extremely unprofessional to top it off.
We arrived around 2 and the food came out to us within 15 minutes. We had the bean and cheese burrito, ground beef and potato burrito, and the fried fish with corn tortillas. This restaurant is a gem in Las Cruces. Day service with a pleasant attitude. Clean and a nice selection of drinks.

This place needs a lot of improvement, I went to eat at this place and on the table did not have anything. I needed to go ask for everything, salt, napkins, sauce and then the lady even got mad at me. I ordered some carne asada tacos, I told the lady no onions please and when a got the tacos they were full of onions and cilantro. I don’t know if it was easier to get the meat out or the onions, the meat was cut too small. This place is already lacking on the quality side, is like some of the restaurants, once they start getting customers they forget about quality and start minimizing the quantity too.
