Burgers and fries were home made. I had the mushroom burger. Hubby the bacon. Big and good. Loves it.

Visiting from Albuquerque, We tried the green chile jumbo cheese burger. It was VERY delicious, much better than the chain restaurants. Will definitely be back again.

Got the Green Chile Cheeseburger,
The complimentary chips & salsa is worth an extra half star. (Hot)

The food was good, inexpensive, the service was friendly and fast. On the down side the menus were dirty and although the table and flatware and dishes were clean the rest of the place could use a serious deep clean.

Really nice people who work here, and good service. Order anything else but steak! The salad is good, but the steak wasn't seasoned. Some of the fries were really good and a lot of them were just burnt ends.
It's a diner. An old diner.
Their salsa is very hot!

Parking: There seems to be some good beer specials, but I don't drink, so don't know for sure.

My first visit was back when I was about 9 years old. 50 years later, it's still a great place to eat.

Great food with respectable prices. Our server was fantastic. However the owner should make a conservative attempt to minimize the number of pesty flies we had to contend with while trying to eat our meal. The floors could have been vacuumed as well.

Was hoping for breakfast, but that's only served 7-11. Bummer... ok, they had BBQ on the menu... Nope... smoker broken. Hmm... opted for a Green Chile burger. After 25 min, got my burger even though it wasn't busy. The burger was medium well at best (still a little pink inside), no seasoning on the patty. The Green Chile was good, but the choice of bun was really soft and fell apart. Prices are fair. Got my coffee in a Styrofoam cup even though the table next to me had real cups.

Dick's Cafe has been a fixture in Las Cruces since my mom and dad were Aggies. My dad loves to tell the story about when he would go to Dick's in college, Dick would be there and greet everyone. He would allow students to take out a tab and pay it off monthly. Dick was still alive when I was a student but had given up on the tabs. Nonetheless, the green chile cheeseburgers were reliably awesome! We went back a few weeks ago, for the burger. Dick passed away a few years ago, but the cafe is in the same place and the burgers are still awesome. My granddaughter was delighted and we were able to share this special place with a fourth generation in our family.
