I had take out. I live in Colorado. We have good Mexican food, but nothing like this. It is in a strip mall, and the atmosphere is as you would expect. However, it's very clean and bright. The food is excellent. I had Chile rellenos. They were big and flavorful. The rice and beans were full of flavor like I have never had. Usually, they are simply a bland filler. These really taste wonderful. The red salsa is the same. Queso, also awesome. Highly recommend.

So I went to El Charros for lunch, first time for me but my neighbor recommended it. I ordered the chili relleno plate and it was very good. I usually like to sample the beans and rice to manage expectations and they are both very tasty. In a community with lots of Mexican restaurants this one, I believe, holds its own.

this is a hidden gem on El Paseo in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Everything here is always extremely tasty. Red enchiladas are not to be missed. They have a white sauce that is also fantastic. I highly recommend El Charro. I am starting to become a regular customer.
