I decided to try something new today and went to Jake's for breakfast I ordered through the drive thru and man let me tell you it was the best food I've eaten in ages I had the chicken fried steak and it was huge I will definitely ately be returning for some more food the girl that took my order was super friendly and even brought my food out to my truck in the rain. I will definitely be going here as much as I can
First time ever eating there. Absolutely Fantastic!!!!!!! Loved the pulled pork sandwich. Great size and flavor. The fried mushrooms were the bomb!! Owner and staff were super friendly. Will definitely be going back. Thanks Jake's ?
Three of us ate here. Food took longer than expected time to be served but not horrible. Asked for a little gravy over fries since my meal came with gravy already. Charged me 2.50 for the gravy. Maybe a spoonful exyra.
Are you kidding me! The chili cheese fries are crazy good. don't forget to get something to drink. It burns so good. The family loves going to Jakes, great wait staff and food. Everyone is happy with the menu which is rare with our family.
First-time customer with my friend. Order a quarter pound burger. Talk about well done and had no seasoning and is pretty dry and thin. I expected a nice juicy flavorful Burger. Place was nice front door could be cleaned presentation is everything. Got the chili fries and they were good however they didn't salt before putting the cheese on it so I had to add salt for flavoring and they got quite soggy fast I think I prefer the regular fries. Onion rings were good really enjoyed those all in all a good place need some work on the flavorful and Well Done part. Would I go back? Probably not.
Breakfast food was good and the service was also good. Restaurant is nice and clean.
I got the Jake's Burger which was good even though the patty was a little thin. The onion rings were also very good: i liked the batter. I like the savory rather than sweet onion rings that so many places have now. Jake's Onion Rings were savory. The guy that waited on me did a great job.
Went for dinner on a week night. Food was good but not outstanding. We all had chicken fried steak. Portions are huge ( they also have a 3 lb cheeseburger challenge). Service was really slow and they were out of 2 items we requested. Slow service offset by a very apologetic server who thanked us repeatedly for our patience. No automated door but I think it's navigable otherwise. There are 2 levels, one about a stair step higher than the main level. Tables have movable chairs
i really liked the decore. the food was amazing.
After seeing their green chile cheeseburger in NM Magazine, I had to try it. It was very good and deserves 4 stars, but the service earned an upgrade to 5 stars. The burger pattie seemed larger than quarter pound and was tasty. They went light on the green chile and cheese for my tastes. Overall, though, a success. Yes, I would return and have another. Attentive waitress!

On our way to Arizona from Houston...had to try this place! Delicious breakfast and awesome staff! Definitely must try if driving through Las Cruces.
What a great dinner we had, the staff was gracious and the portions were awesome. A must for chicken fried steak half and half.
My son visited from Albuquerque Feb 19 and I sent him to try Jake's. I asked him to bring me back the delicious looking green enchiladas I'd seen in the reviews. He ate chicken fried steak while there (no surprise) but called to sadly inform me the Mexican food had been dropped from the menu. I'm certainly glad I hadn't believed what I'd read, since nobody updated that in the info, and traveled there alone in my wheelchair to go eat. I will always call ahead to make sure nothing has changed. Thank goodness another place nearby did note that they were temporarily closed before I ventured out. I just mostly like to eat Mexican fare out, as I get fed a lot of typical American food (and some Mexican) by the Meals On Wheels crew. Mexican food, especially green chiles, help my depression. Big smiles then !!!Edit:. Wow, how quickly this update came !! I am impressed. And I am looking forward to coming !!
I’m a gluten free vegetarian with a love of diners and had the most amazing strawberry salad and French fries I’ve had in a while. My friend said her burger was top five she’s ever had in her life. Helluva stop. Love it.
Great homemade chicken fried steak, and HUGE... Me and my son are both big eaters and we still could have split that thing. Great fries, too. The kind where you figure they were still a potato before you showed up. Definitely give Jakes a try. You won't be sorry.
