No beef in the tacos anymore where's the beef all corn tortillas down sizing not the same not my thing anymore
Simple menu, which means good food! Crispy flautas, excellent guacamole! Some pastries too. Nice little place, clean eating area and bathrooms. Live plants and colorful decor make for a nice atmosphere. Super nice people too! Will be coming back!
Wow I can not understand the good reviews if there was a teaspoon of red Chilli in my menudo maybe it would have been better my enchiladas were the worst I ever eaten they actually microwaved them Chilli was burnt so bad tasted like I don't know totally burnt enchilada suace the microwave dried out the tortilla disgusting
Good new mexican food. The menudo is delicious. The ladies that work there are nice and they have clean bathrooms. The southwest is captured through the art and food.
Everything I have tried here is good. Sometimes I will go just for beans and rice. The rice is some of the very best rice.
Used to love coming to this cute spot to get a bean burrito. As a vegan, there are so few places that don’t use lard in the beans, and La Cocina is one of them. Unfortunately, they’ve upped the price of their bean burrito by $2 (from $3 to $5), and made the burrito even smaller. The last time I got a bean burrito here, they didn’t roll it properly and the beans spilled out from every side. I would be much more likely to return here if they lowered the price of their *only* vegan option, and rolled it in such a way that it can be eaten on the go. If the ingredients consist only of beans and a tortilla, there is absolutely no reason for the burrito to be this expensive.
This is one of Las Cruces best homegrown restaurants. Authentic Mexican food with a touch of family love. If you have not been here you are missing out. Don't forget to check out their daily specials.
This restaurant has been around for decades. It is the best. Their food and service is always good and friendly.
Cant say enough good things about this place!!! Great food and great staff. I always have to stop in when I'm in Cruces!!!

The food quality has really gone down. I had brisket tacos they werent very good.
Where to start with this review?La Cocina restaurant is a big fat joke. This restaurant is a slap in the face of Mexican culture and traditions. Yesterday (February 3, 2022), my mother and I decided to have lunch at this "so-called" restaurant. We ordered green enchiladas, and it was the worst mistake of our lives. When we opened our plates to eat our food, the presentation looked "good," but as we ate the enchiladas, it was like eating spoiled food. Let me explain. The "green" enchiladas had a few tiny chucks of chile, perhaps four pieces only. The sauce was mostly made from cheese and water; it was too watery. The "green enchiladas" tasted like Velveeta nachos. The tortillas were hard and cold, and we were having difficulty cutting through the enchiladas. The food was so disgusting that we didn’t even finish the entire thing; we tossed it straight to the trashcan. My mother and I were very excited about trying this place, but it was a major disappointment. This is our first and last time going here.Dear folks, I had to write this, so you don’t experience the inconvenience. If you’d like to taste authentic Mexican cuisine, this is NOT the place to go. You’ll be wasting your time and money. A "wanna-be" version of a Mexican restaurant is the best way to compare La Cocina. I read other reviews and don’t understand why this restaurant gets such a high rating. Maybe the reviewers don’t know about traditional Mexican food. Taco Bell and Chipotle are two of America’s largest food chains focused on Mexican cuisine. I would never imagine saying this, but Taco Bell and Chipotle are better options than "La Cocina Restaurant." Hopefully, people will take my advice. This review comes from someone who has grown up around Mexican culture. This restaurant is a disgrace. Please save yourself time and money. Thank you!
Very delicious burritos especially the green chili meat burrito!
Delicious!! Green beef burrito plate, flauta plate & brisket taco!
Great little local spot, green chilie beef and chilie relleno were great! We are visiting and saw it on Google maps. Not easy to find, look for brightly colored little building on Conway street!
