Everything was on point. I walked in for menudo but they were sold out, which is a huge green flag if you ask me so I wasn't even mad about it. The tacos were amazing and I can't wait to come back and try their menudo. Buche, carnitas, y barbacao were fantastic.

Delicious! Came here Wednesday afternoon around 2:30pm, it wasn’t very busy, but the food was absolutely delicious! I got the carne asada torta and my husband got the Ham and cheese torta, it was amazingly fresh tasting, with lots of flavor and quality ingredients, plus a cooler filled with a variety of cold drinks! 10/10 would recommend!

Fui por primera vez este fin de semana que pasó y todo muy rico muy limpio hasta se ponen guantes para preparar los burritos y todo riquísimo. Lamentablemente regresé hoy lunes y mi experiencia no fue la misma. La persona que me atendió agarro las tortillas sin guantes y él venía de la parte de atrás de la cocina, se sacó un pica dientes que traía en la boca y volvió a agarrar otra tortilla para ponerla en el comal. Finalmente se puso guantes para servir la comida en los burritos pero se sacó los guantes del mandil, me fijé y estaban súper sucios. Cuando acabo de servir los burritos se quito los guantes y los volvió a guardar en el mandil. Cuando puse mi queja en el restaurante me dijeron que no había nadie de encargado y los dueños estaban fuera de la ciudad por un mes. Hablé con la persona que me atendió y me dijo que ellos usaban gel anti-bacterial que está debajo del mostrador. La verdad yo nunca lo vi que lo usara pues los burritos los preparan delante de la clientela. Muy rica la comida pero les falta entrenar más al personal para servir los alimentos. Gracias.

OhMyGoodness so so glad I found this gem! I'm such a sucker for homemade tortillas an authentic Mexican food! To top it off the prices are amazing!! From Texas these type of tacos less quality are 4 bucks. I will be returning!

Thus place is where you can find all the flavor! The only issue was the pay-per-pound chicharron was all fat, but my partner is the 1 who selected it so, that's on us. The barbacoa can run out if you don't go early. The carnitas are falling apart tender and SUPER delicious, I could eat it every day! Plus they included warm corn tortillas, onion with cilantro and both red & green salsa along with it. The torta bread is so soft and generously filled! My honey really liked the red enchilada plate. These men really know what it takes, their food is excellent and they are friendly too. Come hungry and leave stuffed! It's not fancy but it's clean. You will be back for more!

La Morena is a working man's sort of restaurant, clean with honest portions and freshly prepared dishes. There were lots of steel-toed boots when we visited yesterday and English is optional. It's perfect! I had the barbacoa burrito and my companion the barbacoa tacos. I judge Mexican restaurants by their tortillas and it was clear that La Morena's were freshly-made. The barbacoa was excellent, made all the better by the addition of green chile. La Morena doesn't have a lot of reviews and one was really bad. And so I write this to correct the record and urge readers to ignore the pendejo whose experience must have occurred on another planet. Visit La Morena and you'll thank me.
