Delicious meals and pastry Laid back atmosphere Friendly service Chicken Marsala special was divine
If you want a pastry or several to go, this is the place. If you want to dine in, be prepared for bad service. Our waiter had a good personality but was incredibly disorganized, leading to long waits to order and to get the check. The food is pretty good.
freakin' stellar place to go at any time of the day. home made baked goods and delightful service. It is always a treat to go here.

Excellent service and the place was packed. Rafael was an excellent waiter.
Caprese chicken sandwich and French charcuterie assortment dazzled us. And definitely try the key lime cheesecake!
We did not feel like we were in New Mexico for the time. This was basically a busy French diner. I would definitely return here!

A wonderful lunch/breakfast place with incredible pastries! We enjoyed a veggie platter and Eggs Benedict. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. The coffee was also quite good and the service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The interior decor is pseudo Parisian but it overly tacky. Don't be fooled by the partly empty strip mall as you first arrive, this place is real and unique in Las Cruces.

We were in Las Cruces for the weekend from Albuquerque and we found this place for breakfast on a Sunday and decided to try it. It was such a cute, little cozy place. The food was delicious! We had a Croque Madame and the Crossoint sausage sandwhich with fries and hashbrowns. The sandwiches were so good and the fries were cooked to perfection. The desserts they have all look so good and we had trouble picking just a few. We got macaroons, this chocolate ball with honey, brown sugar and nuts inside it which was AMAZING, and a slice of lemon tart cake which was to die for as well as a bread pudding that was very good. It is a very European cake which is great if you don't like super sweet treats. The service was wonderful as well and the staff were so friendly. If I ever go to Las Cruces again or pass through, I am going to eat here. It is very reasonably priced as well for as much food as we got, it was under $50. Please open one in Albuquerque!

I just said hi to the lady who works at register and she even didn't look at my face and said I will be right with you with a rude way then I left
I’ve lived in Las Cruces for over seven years, without ever hearing of the Rendezvous Cafe. Seven years! My friend invited me so I put it into my GPS because my nick name is "Wrong Way."
When I reach the location, I’m looking for signs. I expect something, maybe a charming cottage I can see from the street with a très chic sign and a little puff pastry dangling in the breeze. Nothing. I went right past it. But then I realized it’s in a strip mall... like they’re hiding from the world.
Finally, I walk in, and it’s like I’ve been transported to a French-themed diner with fresh pastries! And I’m not talking about the usual supermarket stuff you find at Albertsons. I’m talking real pastries made fresh that day. Before I can lunge for a table (cos I know I'm eating here) the waitress tells me to write my name down on a ledger. What is this, jury duty? But that is a triviality because the food! The food! It’s well-seasoned like they really care how it tastes.
Now, here’s the kicker: it gets packed at noon. Packed! Where are all these people coming from? Was I the last person in Las Cruces to hear about this place? Apparently. And my friend—who's much smarter than me, tells me, “Order the pastries first. I mean, BEFORE you eat. Because they disappear like the snow here in winter."
So, to sum it up: Rendezvous Café is a hidden gem--at least to me. And when I say hidden, it’s also hard to find, but once you do, it’s like stumbling into a little French haven in the middle of the desert. Just make sure you write your name down… and for the love of all things buttery and flaky, order dessert first!

Despite arriving in the middle of the lunch rush-hour, we received friendly and prompt service. I ordered their L’Avocado Salad with tuna. It was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.

So happy to find some French pastries in Las Cruces. They are delicious. Menu looks fabulous. Looking forward to trying their Boeuf Bourguignon. I wish they would open a cafe/bakery in Sonoma Ranch area.
