I basically will never write a review for a fast food place since the experiences typically are standard across locations, but this LJS is so terrible it deserves special mention.

Once every decade I decide to give LJS a go. Last week I attempted an online order, the transaction was processed without issue, and I proceeded to the location to get my food where we found it closed with the lights off in the middle of the business day. No explanation on the door and the hours indicated it should definitely be open. Nope, just closed. I had to complete a lengthy survey to request my money back, but I'm not even sure why they accept online orders if they aren't going to be open. The manager was kind enough to message in the survey response to come in for a free meal, which was a nice touch.

Unfortunately, today my partner and I attempted to eat at this LJS location, and once again the doors were locked and the drive thru was shut down in the middle of the business day. This time two people could be seen inside and they just ignored us. Classy. Sure, come in for a free meal if you can manage to show up when we decide to actually open.

I don't understand how a national chain is able to just not be open when they are supposed to be. How can their management allow this to continually happen? I guess it explains why LJS is a dying brand around the country. You never see this with any other chain.

We love Long John Silver! Food is always fresh. Tastes like it did when I was little & my dad took us all the time. Service is fine. Most times they are very busy..could use a little update to the dinning room area.

Maybe the best long john silvers location? Not sure it can get better, the crew were very friendly, food was correct and fresh, they got us the food quickly. I’ll be back just for the service alone

Some days it's 5 star with the food some days it's a 2 the fish usually is fresh and good,fries are a hit or miss .And I don't ever recommend their corn.

Unfortunately for this visit our food tasted redipped rather than freshly made... So it was extra greasy and stale... And the portions keep getting smaller... Yet the price keeps going up... Great service and atmosphere... Just lacking in quality and of course quantity for the price...

Me and the wife stopped in for lunch today 11:51 10/1/2025 we ordered the same thing 2 piece fish meal. Our order was delivered to our table and the server said one of our 2 piece meals was missing a piece of fish and she would bring it out shortly. Well she never came back. We finished our meal and I went to the front counter and was going to inquire about the missing piece of fish. Stood there for 5 minutes with people working behind the counter and no one acknowledged me. So I left. Paid $11 for 1 piece of fish.

My daughter loves Long John Silver's. The employees are almost always friendly, and price is right.

We all know what LJS has to offer, but let me tell you this location makes it even better.
The food items were prepared correctly.
I was surprised how spotlessly clean the restaurant was compared to how poor the conditions are at the majority of restaurants in Las Cruces. The staff were professional and kind; they also exhibited great personal hygiene, uniforms were crisp and clean.
You can tell the owner and staff take pride in their business! Refreshing! ⭐️

We were here on a Saturday night in Las Cruces, NM. It was not busy. Logan was extremely helpful. The place was clean and the bathroom was clean. My food was made to order. I ordered fish and hush puppies. It smelled of fish a lot and it does not typically. The fish also didn't taste like Long John Silver fish. It wasn't bad, just not the flavor we are used to. We were just passing through NM, but we wouldn't go here again.

The workers were super nice and really polite, but my food was not fresh. It tasted horrible, and I could barely chew it because it was so hard
