My 2nd time to visit Miguel's. First time was just okay-food was so-so and service was nice but not very effiicient. Today was 2nd visit and it was AWFUL. Service was terrible, food was not good and atmosphere was loud. We had a reservation which they couldn't find when we arrived. They eventually seated us. Waiter arrived and took drink orders and then must have forgotten to put in the order because we waited for a LONG time and had to remind him. He took our food order (we wanted the vegan burger and beet salad). When he finally brought our drinks he informed us they ran out of vegan burgers and that the only other thing that was close to being vegan was another beet salad which we ordered. Took forever to receive the 2nd salad which was "skimpy" compared to the first one delivered. Everything was so "off" that we would never recommend to go or return.

We like the new Miguels on Mesquite. (We also like the other, nonrelated Miguels on Amador which offers more extensive GF options.) Mesquite is close to us, so we prefer to go there. The patio environment is fun and attractive and even the restroom is nicer than most in Las Cruces. But it needs to work out a couple new-restaurant issues. First, bring down the sound level. Even outside, we were barraged by customers conversing loudly during brunch. We would prefer to hear the live music with less noise. Second, our server was pleasant but the wait for food was long. Menu options were more inventive but fewer in number than expected. We chose the steak sandwich and The Cure. Our portions were nicely presented, the food tasted good, and the mimosa was great. We will return.

I was looking forward to the opening of this restaurant as we regularly go to Zifferos downtown and enjoy that experience. Miguel's on Mesquite is in a nice location and has a very good ambiance. Some of the reviews said this place was fine dining, but it is definitely not close to fine dining, though it is more expensive than many other restaurant in town. We thought the food was not very good and left very disappointed. I had the Fiesta Bowl with shrimp which the waiter said was one of their most popular items. It was 6 super salty shrimp on a bed of mushy rice. my husband got a different bowl and felt the same that it was just an unappetizing glump of food. I doubt we will be back. Super disappointed because we have really been looking forward to a good new restauran.

Was super excited to go to this restaurant and give it a try. The experience started off good with a very friendly hostess to greet us and seat us. That was about the end of the positives. The server came.out and greeted us. We were brought the wrong coffee and I had to call him over to finally take our order as he never came to check on us, but did come to check on the tables to the left and right of us. In the almost 2 hours we were waiting he MAY have checked on us a total of 3 times, to the point I got up and asked the manager to charge us for our coffee and cancel my order. He asked that we wait so he check on the food and stated he would be giving a discount on the coffee, which was appreciated. The food came out and the pancakes tasted as if they dumped a bottle of salt inside of them. In this time frame the server came out and not one apology was given for the horrible customer service. At one point in time the bartender asked another server if we were one of his tables to which he responded no and the bartender asked that he check on us as our actual server still was not coming back around. The manager was apologetic as was the original hostess who greeted us which was appreciated but it is definitely not a place I will be visiting again.

This is a beautiful new concept to the downtown neighborhoods. Wonderful outdoor spaces. Amazing cocktails, huge wine selection with a cute wine cave, and beers on tap. They also have a full restaurant including a Brunch menu.I ordered "Old Smokey" from their cocktail menu. Which was Maker's Mark with a sphere of ice, a black cherry, an orange peel, and they top it with apple wood smoke.I also had 'The Cure' which was reasonably priced, and very filling. In my dish the potatoes were just a bit too buttered and overwhelmed the other flavors. Which is too bad because I wanted to know how the arugula and rosemary changed the dish flavor. Still it was very filling and a great choice after riding. If you are in the need for a spot to chill with and meet friends, listen to live music, and have a good time, check out Miguel's on Mesquite!Parking: There is limited parking on Mesquite, but there's a parking lot around the corner, behind La Nueva Casita Cafe.Wheelchair accessibility: All one level.

Had an extremely awful first experience. Had to leave the restaurant with my work team of 12 because they wouldn’t allow their kids into the establishment because they weren’t 21. We ended up going to Texas Roadhouse instead. They lost a lot of business last night and future business from us. If you have kids, don’t go here!Kid-friendliness: They do not allow kids into this establishment, so if you are into that go here, otherwise take your kids elsewhere.

So excited that this place is open for brunch with delicious and different options than what's around town. The dinner was great tasting and the atmosphere was romantic. I do see a lot of- honestly- boomer generation complaining about everything and I wish they would back off and go back to Denny's and let the business get on their feet.

Had the Stuffed Bell peppers, they were great. The Chef Matthew was very nice, and good at his job.

Great brunch location first Sunday of March 2024. Patio seating included shade, nice plants, a good singer, and friendly service. I ate every bite of The Cure plus iced tea and a perfect mimosa. My partner’s steak sandwich was very good. We did find it surprisingly noisy because the next table of 4 talked very loud.Parking: The location is good, next to 2 other bistros and facing a sweet park. If all restaurants fill up, parking may require more of a walk than we had just 5 car lengths away

Grest service and ambiance. Needs a broader scoped menu. But what they serve is very good.

We attempted to eat Sunday brunch this past Sunday. We made a reservation and had to sit around for 10 minutes because despite the reservation there was no table available. The bar person brought us water but didn't take a drink order. After we had been seated, the friendly waiter took our order, and then nothing happened. After we had waited an hour for our food, I spoke to the owner who said "We have only two line cooks. Come put on an apron and cook if you want it faster." This after we had waited 30 mins for our drinks and saw people at other tables not served their drinks for close to an hour. We paid for our drinks and left.I've been telling this story to everybody I know, and have gotten regaled with many other tales of the owner being rude, both here and at his other restaurant, and the food being close to inedible, but since the owner gets his friends to create fake 5-star reviews, it will take a while before the truth percolates out there.
