This place is a hidden gem. The food here tastes like it was made with the best and freshest ingredients. The Chili Con Queso Steak from the breakfast menu was phenomenal. Perfect amount of food and very reasonably priced. Service was ok and the restaurant appeared very clean.

The best food in town. Always fresh, hot, and made to order. They're only open 3 days a week, so plan to stop for a meal onWednesday, Thursday, and Friday.Parking: The parking lot is tight. Street parking is available, plus there's a business lot across the street with room to park.Wheelchair accessibility: Two handicap parking spots. Wheelchair accommodation is a little tight, but they will rearrange tables to get you situated.

Definitely a bad place to eat, 40 minutes waiting, they do not accept debit cards, only cash has a machine to withdraw money from the same place... you pay for tip and to withdraw money...they should have a sign on the door only cash... the service is poor no They pay attention to you… and if you are looking for a quiet place this is not a place, it is small, crowded and noisy.

I love the food, but always call to see if open. Went yesterday when they should be and closed, no sign saying why. Called today and was told closed until Jan 16th 2024. ?

Nellie's is a place I return to every time I visit my hometown. Nellie's is a small cafe that fills up quickly. If there is no table available, be sure to put your name on the steno pad out front and wait to be called in. You don't have to wait long for your choice off the menu (one of my gauges if a Mexican restaurant is good and authentic). Their red enchiladas are just like how my grandmother would make, with an egg on top. And always ask for a basket of sopapillas for dessert. Nellie's is cash only, and they do have an ATM on the premises.

Nellie's Cafe is a hidden gem that is patronize by the local residence, and a few fortunate people such as my husband and myself were told to visit Nellie's for delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine. The restaurant is small with a homey atmosphere. The staff treats you as if you were family. I ordered the red beef enchilada absolutely delicious. The meat was in chunks, tender and flavorful. The red sauce was spicy and tasty. My hubby's green beef burrito was also tasty, tender and delicious. The complementary chips were warm and salsa spicy and tasty. We will definitely be back on our next visit to New Mexico.

We googled huevos rancheros when traveling through Las Cruces and Nellies came up. We knew it would be a good choice when we pulled up and there was hardly any parking available and all the tables were full. We only waited 10 to 15 minutes during rush hour rush and food was to us with barely a wait. Very friendly servers and food was absolutely the best! Don't miss this gem!

Was seated but then ignored. Table was dirty and no one in a hurry to clean it. Finally got our meal, the tortillas were so tough they couldn't be cut with a knife. The meat was partially tuff and neither the red or green sauce was seasoned for taste. Very disappointing!
