The only reason why I am giving this restaurant a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 star, is because I ordered the Chiles en Nogada and it did not come with either rice or tortillas! I’m Mexican and need tortillas the very least!

Phenomenal food and excellent service! My last meal of my trip to Las Cruces and I will certainly be back next time. Highly recommend the mole. The gentlemen seated next to me shared that the breakfast is also divine.

I've been coming to Paisano Cafe for over 10 years, stopping whenever I'm in the Las Cruces area. Ample portions of traditional Mexican cuisine, usually with a subtle twist to give each dish a special taste at very reasonable prices. I can't recommend it enough.

We have frequented this restaurant many times over many years, but the last few times have been disappointing and this recent trip was also that way. We went to brunch one weekend ago and wanted French toast but were told they were out of syrup. Isn’t that something you could easily get and particularly have on hand if you’re serving brunch? Then recently for lunch we went and the fish ordered was dry and for another dish. We asked specifically if it came with black beans and told yes then when it arrived, it had no beans and we reminded the server, but we assume it was the manager nearby who overheard and said no it doesn’t and didn’t offer to bring them anyway, as the server had thought to do. Another meal was listed as adding vegetables for one dollar and when the vegetables didn’t arrive, we reminded the server of this who said oh yes, I can check on that but again the manager overheard it and said oh no, it would be $3.50 if you want some vegetables with that. It wasn’t the cost. It was just the fact that if that’s what’s listed on the menu, that’s what should be honored. Aren’t customers supposed to be served? The restaurant is showing its age and has not been updated and obviously servers are not well trained - water was never refilled, even though it was requested. Also, the server did not know things like if beans came with something or that the menu should be changed for prices. Also, the server never came to ask how things were going what’s the food was delivered. We will not be going again.

This was such a great find ! Yummmmy! The in house mole choices here will blow your mind. My pablano vegano was so good after one bite I lost all restaurant etiquette and started plowing away at my dish . Then realized I didn’t get a picture of the stuffing , it was that good .

This was our first visit to this restaurant. Their menu is a bit different then the typical Mexican Restaurant, everthing on the menu sounded very good. Their service was very friendly, the coffee was oo so very good and the food was excellent. We got a look at their lunch and dinner menu. Can't wait to try more. We will be back.

Was recommended by the las cruces chisme page as I was looking for mole enchiladas. This is now a personal fave as everything on the menu is 10/10. The red & green enchiladas are great, the mole is great, the breakfast omelets are great. The chips come w. A delicious salsa that is spicy, but It’s so good I was left wanting more !

Place is great. Food is amazing. Service was not great. Have been coming here for a while. We have been the only ones in the restaurant before, and have told everyone about this place. Now it’s busier, service has gone done quite a bit. They keep making mistake after mistake. Food is wrong, no service. Things need to change for the better. Again, great place for food but might have to look for a new favorite place in town.

+Found a refreshing menu in our area provided within a clean atmosphere. Service was excellent, my dinner entree of Gambas al Coco was delicious!
I’ll be back to try breakfast.
Glad Paisano’s is here in Mesilla to give a break from the mundane restaurants found in Las Cruces.
-Cheap art prints on the walls.
+The art by local artists was a nice addition.
