Ordered a sandwich but it smelled so bad (old grease smell) I couldn't get it past my nose to my mouth. Sent it back. Waiter just grabbed it and left. Didn't ask me if I wanted anything else or didnt bring another. We all just sat and wondered what was going on. I got to sit there while everyone finished they're meal. When the checks came I knew I was getting nothing. I get to look forward to a drive through. Very disappointed and very unlike me (restaurant industry for years) I didnt leave a tip. This was nor acceptable at all

In town visiting Las Cruces (which has my heart!) for Thanksgiving week and was told to visit Sunset Grill. I am sure glad we did. When you walk in, it feels a little outdated but that's the only slight I had against the restaurant. The staff was friendly, the cucumber martinis were excellent and the food was outstanding. My wife and I got the salmon and sea bass and didn't leave with any leftovers. We finished with a lemon dessert that was something different and also delicious. The best dinner we've had in LC so far!

Made a reservation here for our anniversary. Arrived a few minutes early and got seated right away. That was the only time we were acknowledged. We sat at our table for twenty minutes. Nobody showed to take our order or even bring us water. Waiters were helping other tables and almost seemed to purposely not look in our direction. Finally got up and went back to the hostess who only said sorry and she couldn't help us. I asked for a manager and she said they had all left for the day. Not a single manager on site for a Friday dinner service? Thanks for ruining our anniversary dinner. I will make sure everyone I know doesn't make this mistake.

If I can give a 0 star rating star to the wedding coordinator I would. He was super rude about the date selected to do my wedding day. All he could have said is that day wasn’t available instead of making excuses as to why he couldn’t host a wedding for that date due to the amount of people that go. I really hope he doesn’t treat other potential customers that way.

Arrived from out of town 6/17/25 looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat. Arrived at sunset grill at exactly 8:11 PM.. checked the hours posted before parking. (Closes at 9 PM) The unprofessional waitress greeted us with 2 menus in hand. We asked to be seated to eat she then informed us they were closed. I said the sign says 9 PM.. she then said we are closing early for Father’s Day? I’m Calling BS because she could have said we are closed upon noticing us enter? She assumed we would only get Drinks. Sad for the owner of this establishment who unfortunately hired someone who gives the business a bad name. I will NEVER recommend or eat there.
