Quality ingredients and nice atmosphere but menu items are a lot more basic than one might expect. No frills or garnishes and no substitutions allowed (seriously?). Don't expect any more than what's written on the board. A friend ordered some meat-free item and it was literally just an unappetizing slab of bread and cheese on a paper plate. My food was more visually appealing and tasty but I researched heavily first. Good place to stop if you're in the area but buyer beware.

All their food is delicious! We loved to eat outside in the peaceful setting. Both inside and outside evoke an earlier time-a step back in history. We miss this place after returning to NYC, but have great memories of visiting Cerrillos and the Black Bird Saloon.

We try and get to Blackbird at least once or twice a month. It's worth the drive. Love the atmosphere. Food is great and servers are very good. El Chivato is my go to, but they always have fun and interesting choices on the menu.
