Our server was excellent! The atmosphere was wonderful! But, the fajitas were awful! The salsa could have been straight out of a pace Picante jar! The rice tasted of nothing but cumin! We’ve had ribeye and potatoes and they were amazing and delicious! I don’t know what has happened since a year ago! But yuck!
Top notch. The Green Chile Bloody Mary is wonderful.
My husband and I had dinner here per a recommendation. I would not dine at this establishment again. For the hype that was mentioned and the money paid, it was upsetting. As the plate was set you could see boxed mashed potatoes on a plate pipped to look nice. No cream base. Not even spruced up a little bit. Super salty. Table bread was not fresh, it was half moist and half dry. Waiter was pleasant. Just disappointing as this is considered a fine dinning restaurant. The ambiance is there, definitely NOT fine dinning food quality.
This place is unique and the food was magnificent
I absolutely love the food, mystic and history of this amazing Restaurant, owners and staff!
Delightful setting for individual, couples or groups. Fine food with caring service.
We come here for the drinks and like to sit in the bar area. The bar tenders know what they're doing! The whole town of mesilla is a beautiful piece of history and double eagle embraces that history to the fullest.
Walked out after waiting 20 minutes to be seated when the restaurant was not busy, we were just acknowledged to hold, and staff kept passing by us, ignoring us to eventually be seated and told to wait again. While walking to be seated we asked staff about history on restaurant, she sighed turned around and grabbed some pamphlets and told us to read it if we want to know about the restaurant. Would not return. This review is only about the service provided. We walked out before ordering anything.
Stopped by Double Eagle in Mesilla for a drink. Friend’s Old Fashioned with Bulleit was $17; my Grey Goose martini with blue cheese olives was $24. Steep prices for average quality. The venue was nearly empty, and staff seemed undertrained. The sunroom was charming but didn’t justify the cost. Receiving the check with a worn-out bank pen was the final letdown. Not worth the hype or price.
From start to finish, everything was Immaculate. The venue was stunning, staff was incredibly helpful & accomadating. we couldn't have asked for higher quality of an experience. Amy Lavender Director of Sales & Manager Michelle Berrun.
