Double Eagle Restaurant

The place is beautiful in Old Messila, my friend and I order enchilada plates does cheese was cold the tortillas were hard the beans were dry the rice was tasteless honestly it was a horrible experience and being that it was my birthday it was really sad. We told the waitress she brought us a car to fill out so we can let the cook how bad the food was but nothing else was done by the house. That was the first time my friend went there I went there about 12 years ago and it was great. But this is the second time that I go there in the food is bad I'll never go there again or take anyone else do not go either the food is gross.

Food was great and we ate too much, waitresses was incredible and shared so much about the history of the place, we were there for our 37th wedding anniversary and it was perfect.

Had dinner sitting at the bar at Double Eagle on a business trip to Las Cruses. Bartender was busy and I was just a guy at the end of the bar so didn't get a lot of attention. Ordered a steak and bake potato and a salad. Salad was slow to come out and the food was right behind it before I could get through 1/2 the salad. Food was warm, not hot including the potato. Potato was old like it had been sitting around for a while and the steak was OK but nothing memorable. The reason for a 1 star review is someone added an additional $10 to my bill. My bill was $56 and a $10 tip (20%) but my credit card was charged $76 instead of $66. Maybe they thought I wouldn't notice but its a company card and my charges have to match my receipt. I've called 2 times over 3 days and was told that Chelsea in accounting would look into it but she was busy each time I called. I leave a message with with the person who answers the phone but I get no return call. I'll dispute the charge with the credit card company but beware of extra charges. It might be a regular thing there.

This hidden gem is beautiful. Full of history. So many different areas to enjoy food and drinks. Highly recommend the fried guacamole!

Enjoyed a lovely evening at Double Eagle. Cocktails were great, especially the margaritas. I highly recommend the “Award Winner”!!! The green chili cheese wonton appetizer was very tasty and all the steak entrees tried were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The tempura chili relleno is not to be missed. Enjoy!!

We had dinner at Double Eagle because we had been there last year and it was amazing. We were not disappointed!! The food was perfect!! in my opinion it is a little pricey because we are retired. But of course there is a however, the food was perfect!!

The food was not wonderful but customer service was great, and we enjoyed touring the restaurant and getting to hear the history of it.

The ridiculously long amount of time you will have to wait for your food in this place can probably go into the guiness record. Just go anywhere else.

Excellent food, as always, staff was attentive without hovering. Food was excellent. We both had elk and thought it was fantastic. For what the experience gives you, well worth the price. I strongly urge visitors to Mesilla Valley to go!
