Enjoyed a lovely evening at Double Eagle. Cocktails were great, especially the margaritas. I highly recommend the “Award Winner”!!! The green chili cheese wonton appetizer was very tasty and all the steak entrees tried were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The tempura chili relleno is not to be missed. Enjoy!!

We had dinner at Double Eagle because we had been there last year and it was amazing. We were not disappointed!! The food was perfect!! in my opinion it is a little pricey because we are retired. But of course there is a however, the food was perfect!!

Excellent food, as always, staff was attentive without hovering. Food was excellent. We both had elk and thought it was fantastic. For what the experience gives you, well worth the price. I strongly urge visitors to Mesilla Valley to go!

Our dining experience at Peppers was disappointing. The service was poor, the wait staff was very inattentive to our order as well as checking in on drinks, including water. The chef that night must have been upset because the food was NOT made with love. We expected good southern Nee Mexican Food and that's not what we received. Truly a disappointment.

The service was great and the food was beautifully presented, tasted as good as it looked and it was hot not lukewarm. Our waiter was attentive and personable.

Pepper's was great. It was “on the plaza” which was really a conservatory in the center of the fancier steakhouse. It was enclosed with a fountain and tropical plants. Our waitress was attentive, the food was good and the prices moderate. We really enjoyed our visit.

Food is very good, love their artichokes and chilean sea bass. Green beans can't do bad but the potatoes are too oily. All and all a great experience the town is quaint and they alway have a celebration, very lively town.

Went to Double Eagle for our 13th Anniversary and was extremely disappointed with our experience. Our server was very very nice, but that's about all the good I have to say. I don't like leaving bad reviews, so I've been going back and fourth on whether or not to post this at all. But im so disappointed. The food made me sad. I ordered the filet mingon and my husband got the elk rack. Both of us ordered our meat medium and both came out almost blue rare. I ate my steak anyways even though it was very underdone, but husband hardly ate his elk, it was barely edible. The exact words out of his mouth after the first bite was "I'm going to try and choke this down because we're paying so much for it, but it's not good" We don't go out and treat outselves often. Especially these days with the cost of living and everything being so expensive. But 13 years together we said why not its something to celebrate. We don't like complaining when things go south, we both worked in the service industry, we know how it is and wasnt the servers fault and they always get the brunt of bad interactions. We didn't want to make it a huge thing. But to spend over $50 a person to have it be not just mediocre, but bad, it was super disappointing. We did let our server know and for the kitchen to be aware what happened, and we got a $6.55 discount off the bill. Not a typo, six dollars and fifty five cents off of a $132 tab. For context, his elk dish was $45. Another thing, I ordered a berry mule, and first one was great. When I ordered another, I was given the wrong drink the 2nd time around. I would have sent it back for the right drink, but my server towards the end of the meal had disappeared for a while, so I never got the chance to do so. At that point after being disappointed with dinner and waiting so long for them to come back to check on us, we just wanted to get out of there and go home to salvage the rest of our night. We spent over $162.69 on dinner, tip included which was generous considering how disappointing it was, and felt like the experience did not match the price. In fact, we've been here before and things were great. Not sure what happened or when it started going downhill, but we won't be back. We spent the whole car ride home, in disbelief on how much we spent, and what a poor experience we had. And the true lack of service to try and make anything better. I get it, it gets busy, and mistakes happen. But its about how its handled after to fix an experience, that really makes or breaks a place. That causes repeat customers and good word of mouth buzz. Double Eagle however dropped the ball. It actually made me sick to my stomach feeling like we wasted our money on what was supposed to be such a special night. Super disappointing, and unfortunately will be a most memorable night, in the most sad and disappointing way.

Our server was excellent! The atmosphere was wonderful! But, the fajitas were awful! The salsa could have been straight out of a pace Picante jar! The rice tasted of nothing but cumin! We’ve had ribeye and potatoes and they were amazing and delicious! I don’t know what has happened since a year ago! But yuck!

My husband and I had dinner here per a recommendation. I would not dine at this establishment again. For the hype that was mentioned and the money paid, it was upsetting. As the plate was set you could see boxed mashed potatoes on a plate pipped to look nice. No cream base. Not even spruced up a little bit. Super salty. Table bread was not fresh, it was half moist and half dry. Waiter was pleasant. Just disappointing as this is considered a fine dinning restaurant. The ambiance is there, definitely NOT fine dinning food quality.
