The beautiful history of La Posta is a fantastic stop for tourists! As LCIFF sponsors, they offered friendly staff and beautiful photo opportunities inside. The bar is my favorite place here! Also when visiting the Plaza Theater, until 7 pm or 5 minutes prior to show time, you can go into LA Posta from the theater and purchase an alcoholic beverage to enjoy during the film!

I must say, I was disappointed in the cuisine, both in the quality and the preparation. I ordered a combo plate which included one enchilada, one rolled taco, one tamale, beans, rice, chile meat and slaw. The tamale was mostly masa (the dough) with very little meat and chile. It was dry and was served in a husk instead of removed from the husk and smothered with red chile. The enchilada was not adequately heated, but was otherwise tasty. The rolled taco was hard and dry. I took one bite of it and left the rest. The red chile meat was good and the beans were okay. The salsa was flavorful, but the tostadas were greasy. The plate looked good when it arrived, but I was disappointed with the overall quality. The margaritas were not good compared to other places, but were over priced. The atmosphere was nice, although it was very busy and crowded. The service was good, but not great. The food here is highly touted, but, in all honesty, I can't agree!!!

An interesting atmosphere. I recommend wandering around after ordering to take it all in. The food is your typical Mexican and is pretty average. The steak is quite good. The service was just ok. If you are a tourist like me it is worthwhile checking it out just for the history and atmosphere.

Recommended by a park ranger at Gila Cliff Dwellings, and was near our hotel. It was a really nice location and atmosphere, we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but that was fine. The food was okay, not as flavoursome as I'd hoped, but the service was good.
Very large place but the food and service were good.

Overall just your average Mexican fare. To be fair they were slammed by a huge group before we got there but we had to wait for a table because the kitchen was backed up. Then when we were seated we ordered fairly quickly but our food took VERY long time to come out. My grilled chicken was sub par and they even had to remake it because they mixed it up with another order. The gluten free options were pretty good and they did have a good amount of options just nothing spectacular.

The food was as good as I can remember from prior visits. The service was sub-par. Waitresses and bartenders seemed to be overwhelmed and inexperienced.Even though the place was busy(as usual), their service was not as attentive as in the past.
