Driving through Las Cruces, I stopped at Old Mesilla village for a bite and some culture. Lovely old town NM style buildings and roads and in the center is the plaza with a kiosk and a church. Parking can be tight. Nice place to walk out and buy some nick nacks from vendors that fence the plaza. Nice shopping and restaurants arounds too.

The shops were delightful and everyone took great care for your health and safety during this Covid pandemic. Parking was convenient across the street. Easy to get to and I found a nice souvenir to take home. Many restaurants, but we did not partake. A real square with a church anchoring it at one end. Plenty of shops to meet anyone’s fancy.

small square with centerpiece being the church pictured and the other sides of the square have small shops. parking is limited and most of the streets are small/tight and are one-way.

Lovely church in the center of town with local merchants open around 11 am. Walked around the area early in the morning and enjoyed the ambiance. The church has a mass at 9 am with a speaker outside. Pleasant morning.

Terrific place to stroll. Lots of dining options, local wines, live music make this a calm but very entertaining place

Delicious ice cream, with lots of flavors to pick from, this location is a must to try for anyone in the area.Even though the store does not have a lot of area for foot traffic, the shop owner was very friendly and happy to point out some classic favorites and homemade fudge. This shop also sells trinkets, hats, and other goods for anyone who is not from the Las Cruces/ El Paso area. I enjoyed being in this store because there are a variety of options to choose in order to satisfy your sweet tooth. The fact that this is near the center of Old Mesilla and adjacent to La Posta, it is a nice after lunch/ dinner treat.
