Our server was pretty good, she was trying hard and had a terrific attitude!! The food was mediocre, and that’s being kind. The drinks from the bar were pretty good! The atmosphere was nice and pleasant, however I don’t have to eat here again. We ordered an appetizer, 2 drinks from the bar, and an entree to share. Total came to $55

We travel through Raton frequently. How we missed this place I will never know. We weren't staying in the hotel, but decided to try the restaurant. Our server brought samples of the green chili so we could decide on smothered burritos or not. Attentive and not cloying. The menu is varied. The bar selection good. I am sure we will return each and every time we stay in Raton.

Sat for almost an hour without any food. Ordered an appetizer that never came. Hand breaded chicken is not hand breaded. Must be frozen because the crust came off immediately. Drinks are good, but that's about it.

This was actually the best place to eat in town. I ate the fish and chips and the cowboy steak and they were both tasty and definitely a lot of food! Nothing fancy but the people were very nice and it's cozy on the inside. Loved the fireplace!

To be clear, I am a Raton local and this is a review on Mulligan's Restaurant & Bar. Incase there is any wondering if I meant this review for some other place. It's experiences like this that explain the deteriorating state of Raton. The OVER WHELMING attitude from the staff here is “Don’t Give A... and you can fill in the rest...Let me put this in a way that people reading this review will relate better to it. Had I been on a first date with a girl that I really wanted to impress, I would have been nice and polite with the staff. After the date was over, I would have gone back to the restaurant and given the manager a verbal experience “their” gender confused little soul would have never forgotten! The host has ZERO understanding of how positive facial expressions can reflect onto the customers which will in turn improve the business atmosphere. If you are wanting to show yourself as a modern bar & grill, a cut above the rest (at least in Raton), then you should probably have a higher standard of staff dress code that doesn’t include Converse gym shoes…Where I sat, I had a direct line of sight to the staff bringing food out of the kitchen. EVERY…SINGLE…TIME a staff member brought food out they stopped and turned around and went back into the kitchen with the food and then would come out again 3-4 minutes later. Order screw-ups is the logical explanation here…As for our experience, we ordered chips & salsa as a "premeal" appetizer (honestly I shouldn't have to explain what, when and how to serve an appetizer) , cheeseburgers, and water to drink.-At 15 minutes in, my water was empty. I placed my empty glass out away from myself so that it was obvious it needed attention.-At 35 minutes in, our chips and salsa came, with salsa spilt down the side of the bowl onto the chips. Seriously how long does it take pour salsa into a bowl and put chips on a plate and then bring them out…? BTW my empty glass is still sitting there...-At 40 minutes, our cheeseburgers came. A water refill would have been nice at this point...-At 45 minutes, I got a refill on my water.-At 45:25, I needed another water refill… I put the glass back out there.-At 55 minutes, we were both done eating. Again...A water refill would have been nice at this point...-At 1 hour the server brings some handheld checkout device. I paid the $40+ bill NO TIP, and my wife and I left after “TRYING” to have a nice evening out on our 19th wedding anniversary…A 2nd refill of water might have earned a dollar or two worth of tip and maybe avoided this review…

Fairly typical hotel-attached food joint. Messed up our order a bit but was easy to go back and get fixed since we were staying at the hotel. Above-average food but otherwise just OK.

I don't know if the food is good because they denied us service saying that they were going to close two hours later I passed by and it was still open I think it was discrimination because we were a large

Food was a lot better than last time we came, 2 years ago. We stay here on our way to Breckenridge every year or time we go. The staff is super nice, but I do think they are a little bit understaffed. Food took a while to come, but was very good. Drinks at the bar were great too. Highly recommended!

Typical restaurant attached to a hotel. Was convenient while staying. We ordered a pizza to split and beer. The crust was pre-made frozen, but the toppings were ok. We had a server on her first night so concessions always given. She was also our server for breakfast the next morning.

Bloody Mary was excellent!!We had enchiladas and bean burrito. Both were good. We appreciated the restaurant being attached to the hotel. Super convenient.

It's not bad for a hotel spot in the middle of a small town. Bar tender was great food was decent, overall a good place to grab food a beer and sleep.

Cleanest, nicest restaurant in that town. The only place in Raton I've found that would be suitable for a quiet date, very relaxing after being on the road or at work all day. Prices are reasonable. Food is prepared just right. Full-size servings, good for people who can take leftovers home. Decent beers on tap and a full bar. Great service on my most recent visit. They do close at 9 o'clock, which isn't great for us travelers who are on the road late. And they are not open for lunch. I wish they would fix their website to include their menu, any specials, and business hours.
