Longbow Diner

Visited on a Sunday, and was closing at 2pm. We arrived for lunch and couldn't order any dinner items like mashed potatoes, brown gravy, or rice pilaft. Now we were still trying to make it work and compromise for what was available. When they said no to sampling of the spanish rice for my child to taste, was when ultimately I chose to go somewhere else. I'm certain any other time we may have been able to enjoy a meal here, but no way on a Sunday.

We waited for about 40 minutes for two plates and a kids meal, when we finally got our food it really wasn't worth the wait. Rutillios beats this place in all aspects, I advice everyone to go there instead.

The food was very bland. My wife and child liked what they ate. The prices were high for what you get and as a retired Military veteran. I didn’t get military discount either.

Parking: Wow what’s the deal about parking? There is a parking lot. Just watch your car. Lots of break ins there.

I've eaten there twice. And will be returning for sure! The servers are friendly and welcoming. The food was great. I watched the cook thru the service bar area. He took great care in the appearance of his food. When a chef or cook takes that care and pride in their food, it shows in the flavor. This has become my favorite restaurant in Belen!!

Great Classic American Diner with great food options and healthy options salad strawberry wow!!! Perfect for family. The food is awesome!!! Keep going back!!! You need to try it and it’s Combat Veteran Owned!!! Cooks are spot on. Try the cobbler of the day!!!

Stopped because of the veteran sign, delicious homemade off the grill style. Couldn’t go in because I had my dogs but we were welcomed with great staff, it was reasonable pay and tasty as well. Will definitely be back to dine in with my wife, big thanks and cheers!

Where do I even start? If the male employees weren’t too busy flirting with the young female server then perhaps my order would have been made correct. My burger was way undercooked for what was supposed to be medium well. All the employees were hanging out in the back so I walked back to ask if they could remake it and just have it done well. The servers response was “we get that a lot”. The cook very loudly expressed his disgust with having to remake the burger and made us feel very uncomfortable. He also made rude gestures to the clock and complained about a called in Togo order because it was getting close to closing time. They were also playing explicit music, Akon’s “Smack That”, not the clean version, among other songs of that genre. Also why advertise that you are a military friendly restaurant but don’t offer military discount, makes no sense. As a military family that just PCS’d here we really wanted to like this place. Over all it was not a very good experience, however the young female server was very polite and professional. The food wasn’t too bad it was the unwelcoming employees that were off putting. At the end of it all they gave me my new burger and the old fries that they had sitting in the kitchen while my burger was being made for 20 minutes. We still left a good tip because our server was really good.

We were disappointed tonight. The fish was undercooked breading mushey. No tarter sauce. No butter for roll. Had to keep asking for things. Been there several times but found tonight a disappointment. I guess breakfast is a better time to go
