“Always a treat to visit Prairie Star. The food is consistently good and the staff always friendly and professional. My only complaint is that this particular night the table of eight gentleman next to us were quite loud, a real departure from the usual warm and inviting atmosphere. Conversation for our group of four was a strain. Still, noisy customers are not the fault of the establishment. And besides ... a little ho-ho-ho at the holiday season never hurt anyone.“

This place is a perfect example of an old school dive bar, the service is friendly and fast, the glasses are chilled and there's an old cigarette machine! If dives are your vibe, I definitely recommend this Effingbar when on the west side of town. :)“

“Great service! The staff was all very attentive and the food was great, the chef was very nice, he even gave me some herbal tea to help with my diabetes, very hospitable, (he deserves a raise). The only suggestions I can make are use some real silverware and maybe on weekends have a band to make it more likely. But very happy with the food and service, if I'm ever back in Albuquerque I know where I'm stopping.“

“We had our wedding dinner at the Gardunos at Nativo. We were served buffet style, red and green enchiladas, fajitas, and tasty sopas. The food was great, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming for our party of 20+. Our server Lydiana was attentive, pleasant, made sure our drinks were full, and that we were well taken care of. New owners are doing great in keeping with the tradition of the foods/recipes at this restaurant that’s been around for a lifetime- can totally tell their hearts are in it.“

“We went for the Thursday night steak dinner before a concert. The food was served quickly and was fresh. The steak although on the thinner side was tasty. The loaded baked potato was the bomb! Served with a form of Texas toast. For an inexpensive, tasty & filling dinner with good drinks I'd recommend!“

“Can't speak on the billiards side, but the main bar area was decent and my service was great. I tried the country fried steak, which I'm picky about, and it seriously did it for me. Flavorful, crispy breading thar didn't separate, and a large portion. Side salad was also great“

“Went to karaoke on a Friday night, super fun, good spot, the KJ was active and went through the list fast, we only ate chips and salsa because the kitchen was closed by the time we got there, but the salsa was fire. Pool tables and other games available. Will def be coming back“
