“Absolutely love this place! I ( among others ) do wish they would update their karaoke list though. The staff is ALWAYS attentive and friendly. I'm only giving 4 stars because the karaoke list is super outdated. If it wasn't I'd give 10 if I could!“

“I’ve been coming here since I was a kid! Love this place. Definitely a hidden away spot that has awesome chile. If you like your chile hot, you have to ask for it! Good beer to go along with your food as well. The staff has always been super friendly!“

“We have been dining at Prairie Star for many years, even driving there from Santa Fe before we moved to Bernalillo in 2013. We have never been disappointed in their food or service all these years but I think they are now at an all time high in both issues with their new chef. We dined there in June for my husband's birthday and again in July for our anniversary and Saturday we brought some friends visiting from Colorado and they were more than delighted. The consistency of the visits are what what we are most impressed with. All the servers have been outstanding (sorry I can't remember all their names) but Ronda was our latest server and she was outstanding. John and Jean Luther“

“Came in to have a drink and kill some time before 505 Food Fights. This place is a perfect example of an old school dive bar, the service is friendly and fast, the glasses are chilled and there's an old cigarette machine! If dives are your vibe, I definitely recommend this Effingbar when on the west side of town. :)“

“Great service! The staff was all very attentive and the food was great, the chef was very nice, he even gave me some herbal tea to help with my diabetes, very hospitable, (he deserves a raise). The only suggestions I can make are use some real silverware and maybe on weekends have a band to make it more likely. But very happy with the food and service, if I'm ever back in Albuquerque I know where I'm stopping.“

“I had the best time of my life. Audrey was the bartender and treated me so well. She was very attentive while keeping herself busy with side work. She’s a super hard worker. She made me feel amazing and was super friendly. She mixed the best drinks ever - totally delish!“

“My husband and I go here fairly often for lunch since it's close to our work... Today our waitress, Shannon, was the BEST by far!! Usually the waitresses just "do their job" and the bare minimum of friendliness.. Shannon actually spoke TO us and checked on us often and was outgoing and friendly... You can tell she cares about her customers and her job. Maybe the other waitresses there should either be trained better or just find different jobs where they don't have to talk to people..lol.. Shannon, you are awesome!?“

“Gardunos is a new favorite of ours. The food and service are excellent. We had the privilege of having Manny as our server the last two times we dined in there. He was prompt and nice to us and our children, treating us all with great respect. We will definitely be reoccurring customers. If you have Manny for your server, you are sure to have a fun and pleasant dine-in experience.“

“I really like this place. The food is good and the staff is very friendly. It has a great neighborhood tavern feel to it. I would recommend Horse & Angel to hang out and have drinks and a meal.“

“Went to check out the karaoke, the DJ that night was cool and did a good job of getting everyone on the list a shot.
The volume was too loud though especially on the folks who scream instead of sing.
We already ate so no comments on the food.“
