“Enjoyed our visit, food was good and portions fine. However, beware of the portable kiosk on the table. Do not click on the games screen, even to find out what it's about, unless you want to get charged $2.99+/- on your bill. If you do, it very briefly flashes a message, but there's no time to really read it before it goes away. Fortunately, we noticed the charge on our bill, told our server, and she kindly fixed it for us.“

“We have been dining here for breakfast for as long as they have served breakfast. Today I realized I had not done a review - which was a mistake. Now open at 8:30 AM seven days a week, you are really missing something by not watching for their specials. The initial specials were free breakfasts for the first fifty patrons. That lasted a month and they were the same breakfasts as on the standard menu. This past month, they have offered BOGO - again the same standard menu. The first few weeks of December (2025), we were told they will offer half-price breakfasts. We're coming back even after the specials are done with. Friendly service from a delightful staff. Some folks are put off by the sports bar ambiance for breakfast, but we don't mind since we arrive when they open and just ignore the numerous TV screens and music. Great place to enjoy a surprisingly good dining experience. I favor the Crab Cake Benedicts with beans instead of the papitas. My wife really likes the Avcado Toast but with two eggs. Highly recommended.“

“Was in town for work. Went there as close to the hotel. Food was great service was great. Don't know the names sat at the bar dealt with a maybe 5'3 latina... she was awesome than at 6pm shift change 2 maybe 6'7 blondes came on ... and OMG they had me and coworker rolling... definitely will come here again when in town.“

“Came in 9/28/25 Allie was great waitress food was on point, Allie turned two tv’s to our games. Tried there again tonight the waitress wasn’t so nice, all sweet with my man walked away when I ordered. So we just left. We are spending our money here we should both get treated the same. Sad day“

“Visited early dinner, so it wasn’t too busy. Asked the waitress what she’ll recommend, and the chicken was chosen based on the recommendation. And let me tell you - it was amazing! Very flavorful, juicy, really one of the best I ever had! Cold beers and nice scenery of course… you can’t go wrong :)

“Always a treat to visit Prairie Star. The food is consistently good and the staff always friendly and professional. My only complaint is that this particular night the table of eight gentleman next to us were quite loud, a real departure from the usual warm and inviting atmosphere. Conversation for our group of four was a strain. Still, noisy customers are not the fault of the establishment. And besides ... a little ho-ho-ho at the holiday season never hurt anyone.“

“The venue claims to be accommodating for ADA requirements. And while they may be, it truly is not accommodating. I contacted the venue months in advance to our concert to confirm the accommodations. I was told that we would be upstairs on the balcony, that this was the designated area for ADA. But upon arriving to the venue. We were advised otherwise. The seats were set up under the balcony, nearly midway to the back of the venue. Tucked in a small corner. There was no way we would be able to see over the people standing infront of us. The "landlord" was incredibly rude and told multiple people that he was "sorry his employees don't know everything " yet multiple people were told the same information we were. He told multiple people if they weren't happy with how they could "cater" to us, that they could get a refund and leave. he even said that my mother, in a wheelchair could sit against the barricade and that he didnt care. while other venues advised this was not legally safe. The band was incredible. The venue staff and the landlord had zero disregard for their disabled guests. Very disappointed in the venue and lack of proper accommodations. I will never be returning“

“The host with blonde hair & glasses was amazing. She was kind and at first she sat us in a spot where i couldn't really see the game ( i had my sport shirt on) and she came back around and found us an amazing spot without us asking. our server was also very kind and we didnt feel rushed at all. A good first time experience! (the nachos are huge)“

“We had a great dinner. Our server was a nice young man. The price was okay for the area. It wasn't busy but we always eat a lot earlier than most. We had a Caesar salad and Parmesan chicken with Alfredo sauce instead of marinara. It was huge and filling. Tasted great.“

This place is a perfect example of an old school dive bar, the service is friendly and fast, the glasses are chilled and there's an old cigarette machine! If dives are your vibe, I definitely recommend this Effingbar when on the west side of town. :)“

“Uptown produces pretty standard brewpub fare on a plate. Everything is good, but nothing really noteworthy . I'm not really a craft brew connoisseur , but I do like their selection. Service is very good, and there's plenty of big screens ar every angle so you can sit anywhere and get a view.“
