“Absolutely love this place! I ( among others ) do wish they would update their karaoke list though. The staff is ALWAYS attentive and friendly. I'm only giving 4 stars because the karaoke list is super outdated. If it wasn't I'd give 10 if I could!“

“We have been dining at Prairie Star for many years, even driving there from Santa Fe before we moved to Bernalillo in 2013. We have never been disappointed in their food or service all these years but I think they are now at an all time high in both issues with their new chef. We dined there in June for my husband's birthday and again in July for our anniversary and Saturday we brought some friends visiting from Colorado and they were more than delighted. The consistency of the visits are what what we are most impressed with. “First time here. I've been working across the street for a year and this was my first time coming in. The atmosphere was great, the vibe from both waitress and bartender was lovely and the food was beyond delicious. I got their award winning Alien Burger along with a margarita. Fair prices. A few other places got you beat there haha but I'd rather pay more for better quality. Will be back!“

“The venue claims to be accommodating for ADA requirements. And while they may be, it truly is not accommodating. I contacted the venue months in advance to our concert to confirm the accommodations. I was told that we would be upstairs on the balcony, that this was the designated area for ADA. But upon arriving to the venue. We were advised otherwise. The seats were set up under the balcony, nearly midway to the back of the venue. Tucked in a small corner. There was no way we would be able to see over the people standing infront of us. The "landlord" was incredibly rude and told multiple people that he was "sorry his employees don't know everything " yet multiple people were told the same information we were. He told multiple people if they weren't happy with how they could "cater" to us, that they could get a refund and leave. he even said that my mother, in a wheelchair could sit against the barricade and that he didnt care. while other venues advised this was not legally safe. The band was incredible. The venue staff and the landlord had zero disregard for their disabled guests. Very disappointed in the venue and lack of proper accommodations. I will never be returning“

“My family and I went to the other one on Coors closer to I-40 service was horrible. We got seated before a family of 7 did and we waited at least over 30 min after we still didn't get our order for at least our drinks nothing happened and seemed like we got ignored, so we got up and left without a word and no one tried to say anything or stop and ask us what's wrong so we left and went to the one further down Coors were we where greeted and seated. Our server/waiter was awesome "Jordan" he made sure that we were taken care of and had everything we needed and ordered. At the end of our dinner/lunch he gave us a box and to go drink. Once again Thank you "Jordan" for making an experience go from bad to good.“

“Ojos Tacos was an absolute banger. My hotel maintenance coworker recommended. We work at hotel nearby and I had been enduring sub par service from stoned amatures and short man syndromed cooks for a couple years nearby on the corner of Menaul and Lousiana. I finally decided to try Ojos Tacos. I felt like I had time traveled back to the 1990s. They had actual bouncers who pat you down at the door who made me also feel welcomed. I knew then I would not have to worry about random haters or self loathing staff. I was immediately approached by a stunning half dressed woman, as a new blue collar solo patron I was nervous as the place was packed and loud, but I told her I wanted to goto the bar. The bartender was as stunning but more importantly very skilled at bartending and with the right energy to be behind a bar. I soon settled into free poured drinks without having to look over my shoulder for any one wanting to fight me. I was able to watch some sports games. The place was full on a vibe of professional service, I felt like I was in Vegas or somewhere else where bar service is from professionals. I will continue to throw my money at Ojos Tacos. I felt safe in there and well attended to, no worker threw shade at me. That's all I really care about but the super hot women servers every where with good energy were a bonus. Something in the upper management is being done very right here.“

This place is a perfect example of an old school dive bar, the service is friendly and fast, the glasses are chilled and there's an old cigarette machine! If dives are your vibe, I definitely recommend this Effingbar when on the west side of town. :)“

“I took my mom here for an early Mother's Day meal. The hostess was very pleasant and seated us almost immediately. Our server Mykayla (sp) was awesome. Most of the channels had baseball or basketball or golf on them and my mom asked if it would be possible to change the channel to Tennis as my mom is a tennis fan. Our server asked and the channel was changed to Tennis. We each ordered the fish and chips and both of them were very good. Although the fries, (mine were regular and my moms were sweet potato) were not quite as hot as they could have been, they were still edible. We asked to speak to a manager after we paid our bill to compliment our server. The manager, Yukari was quite pleased to hear about the service. She said she usually hears complaints more than compliments. I would definitely recommend eating here.“
