La Sierra Mesquite Smoked BBQ

Really cool little place. Definitely doesn't look like much on the outside but the inside is a well thought out hunting lodge style decor. The mesquite flavor definitely shows through in the meat. I ordered the brisket, ribs, with beans and potato salad. The brisket was perfectly cooked and had tons of flavor. The beans were warm and tasty, had a very down home feel. The potato salad was more of an eggy rich potato salad rather than the bland soggy stuff you get other places. If I had to give some criticism, the ribs were a bit dry but the very tasty bourbon barbecue sauce helped with that.

While traveling and staying 1 night in Roswell we stopped here for barbecue. We are from Indiana and we have a great place we go to for barbecue. I have to admit that the barbecue here is the best I have ever had including the one we go to in Indiana. We had brisket and ribs that were as perfect as I have ever tasted. The smoke flavor was right on and the texture of both the brisket and ribs were perfect. It is a small place with a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We had the family #2 meal. The ribs and the brisket was amazing. The beans were authentic and the Chilli cheese fries were , no pun intended, Out of this world. The BBQ ribs and brisket were charred to perfection. The taste was delicious. Will definitely go back when visiting Roswell. I am praying for you all after the floods.

Needed to feed my crew, this place was awesome!! Great menu and great service! Had Chile brisket, ribs and corn (which was amazing).

Delicious small bbq restaurant. Only improvment would be more seating and drink selection. Food amazing, drinks are bottled. Would love to see a refillable sweet or unsweet tea selection with my bbq but worth the stop.

Meh. Dry old meat. Over priced tourist food. If I saw the FOX "News" TV blastin around the corner we would have moved on.

My family of four stopped by for dinner this evening on a road trip visiting Roswell. We ordered the family meal. There was so much food, the four of us couldn't finish. Everything, and I mean everything, the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, baked beans, cole slaw and Mac & cheese were great. The baby back ribs might have been some of the best ribs I've ever eaten. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Great BBQ, got the 3 meat plate to share with the wife. Sausage was our favorite, but the pulled pork was perfect, and the brisket was tender. Coleslaw was one of the best my wife had. Atmosphere was very cool, old drive in turned into a simple little joint. Pricing was beyond fair, will come back next time we return to Roswell.
