Basecamp is a great event space on the outskirts of town with Lost Hiker beer on tap, but I don't think it's been open since the fire. Highly recommend when open, but you can also go to the cute taproom in the middle of town! They brew their own beer with just the right amount of selection, and also have some great merchandise for souvenirs. Definitely stop here--support local, as the community is recovering from the devastating fire and mudslides.
We saw The Doso Dirtbags Band in Roswell. Had a great time watching them, chatted with them during their set and they invited us to go to Ruidoso for the 5th anniversary of the Lost Hiker. Sounded like a great idea. Drove out had some good Mexican out of the food truck and some great beers while listening to the band hanging out with the locals. Such a great little brewery. Highly recommended.

Lost Hiker Brewing Company (Basecamp) is a great little brewery in Ruidoso, perfect for relaxing with a cold beer. The atmosphere is awesome, with a picnic area overlooking the river. They serve delicious, high-quality beers - the blonde ale and Belgian ale are top picks. The Belgian ale is subtle and perfectly balanced. The taproom features cool art, adding to the experience. Don't miss out on trying the Mr. White and Das Hefehiker brews. It's highly recommended by locals and visitors alike for a fun time with good drinks.
