“Sorry but no thanks, I'm sure you have your customers that like your food but not us. I'm sure you will survived with out us like you told someone else that made a coment of your food, but there's different tastes that a lot of people like, it's not that it taste ugly it's just we are used to other taste and please don't take it personal. I did like the salsa I don't know about the tostadas, we were never given any. I don't know if maybe we looked like someone they hate but there was a different vibe. Just smile lady. It was our first time there .I'm just being truthful. God bless you. I will give you the five stars only because like I said every one has different taste buds , and a lot of your locals love you..“

“Their food reminds me of something you’d eat at your grandma’s house (in the best way). Very cozy & delicious. The staff was very friendly, too!I had an omelette with peppers, tomato, onions, cheese & shared the most savory, warmest albóndiga soup with my husband. Everything was very tasty! We wanted to go back the next day, but they were closed. Next time.“

“Homemade cooking at it's best!I had #3 red Chile cheese enchiladas with beans and rice and the hubs had the combination plate. It was delicious! We heard about this dive as a recommendation from some locals at another business we visited and Old Tacos did not disappoint. So good!!!Please note that two ladies run this place and cook and wait tables and make food to order so we prepared to wait. It's worth it!Limited seating indoors and they have an option to order at the window and take it to go if you prefer. It's worth the wait. It's not the place to go if you are in a hurry. If you want home made and nostalgic, this is the place. Highly recommend!“

“First off: Tacos are one of the main food groups. Tacos make life better. And The Taco Spot is legit. It is next to Island Noodles in Ruidoso! Had the carne asada tacos. Red sauce has the goods and the spice. Open Fri - Sun but as the season opens up they will be there more.“

“First time eating here and it was pretty good! The tacos had so much meat to divide into the 4 tacos, the salsa was very flavorful, good texture on the rice and the beans were good. They gave me 3 different salsas for the tacos and I liked all 3 but the orange colored one was my favorite. Great portion of food w the mini taco plate and the chips & salsa were good!! I look forward to trying more itemsI didn't visit the actual restaurant I ordered this meal through DoorDash. This all traveled very well!!“

“The al pastor tacos and carne asada burrito were yummy. The salsa was okay. I prefer a salsa with more texture and flavor, but it was a nice addition to the tacos and burrito. It’s a small place with 7-8 tables, so we were thankful to be able to grab the only empty table on a Sunday at noon.“

“Reminded me of my childhood home. The brisket and chicken along with the salsa was just a time machine for my heart and soul. Chicken was moist and excellently seasoned, place was kept super clean and the music was great. The brisket melts in your mouth like no one's business.“

“So far I've been here twice . Once for tacos on 99cent taco day . It was crazy ? idk if they still do that ? The corn tortilla's where so good . I wish they would sale them by the dozen . I had a burrito my second time and it did not disappoint. The red Chile was spicy but just enough . The flour tortilla was so good . My only negative feeling about this place is the hours . It's rare that I get to go bc they close so early . I think these people travel everyday ?. So my family misses our on their delicious food too ? . But in a whole I like their food and would recommend it to anyone to try it at least once .“

“Highly recommend this place. We stopped in Ruidoso during off-season, we are TX natives (as many in Ruidoso are) but live in CO now. This food was incredible. My boyfriend is from Mexico and he felt that it was very authentic. The enchiladas with a fried egg on top were amazing. We ate here like 3 times in 5 days, could not stay away lol. I do wish chips & salsa had been included and not an additional charge. Otherwise awesome place.“

“There are quite a few Mexican food restaurants in Ruidoso, so choosing can be hard. I'll make it easy and say, "Choose El Camino Nuevo". This well established, family owned and operated restaurant has consistently good food and service. They have a nice bar and reasonable prices. Win, win.“

“We enjoyed our food and service. Marisol was our waitress. She was attentive and quick. This continues to be one of our favorite Mexican food restaurants in Ruidoso, NM. My favorite is the shredded beef burrito smothered in green chile. If you have left over green chile, use the chips to scoop up the leftovers. *Chef's “
