This place is a gem. Solid straightforward food and excellent service. Took my mom and her friends here for her 85th birthday (tried getting in at the Lodge in Cloudcroft but they have some serious scheduling issues). Parking is a pain but it is in most places on a beautiful day in downtown Ruidoso. The covered patio outside was perfect even though it's on the main drag. And my first buttermilk pie - stellar! I had their Chicken Salad Sandwich and Cream of Asparagus soup. They were so good.
I also ate their Blueberry Cheesecake and Buttermilk Pie. Even though I thought the employee was overselling the sales pitch for them. I was wrong... and the pies were even better than advertised.

Always a great place for lunch. Excellent choice of food items including quiche, sandwiches, and pasta salads. The best part is outdoor dining among the pine trees. Shout out to the servers...friendly and professional.
