Such a fun spot for food and drinks. We had nachos and margaritas, both of which were excellent.
The ceviche was awesome on the patio. And the tequila menu was anazing.

First time there while passing through Samta Fe, Food was ok. Queso fundido was lacking in taste. Fish tacos could have used more seasoning. Drinks were fine. But I think it was the service that ruined it. Just couldn’t enjoy when you have a one bad waiter with a bothered look. His bad day ruined ours.

Sat on the patio. I had the house margarita, wife, Cadillac. We ordered the modified queso🧀 with steak🥩 and the house guacamole🥑/salsa🍅 & chips. Really impressed! So full we didn't go to dinner. Nice small tequila tasting too. Spot On!

I wanted to give it 5 stars and the burger was fantastic. Our server (Chris) was OK. The old fashion special drink was terrible. So bad, we could barely drink it.

After three years of strolling past Joe’s Tequila Bar at the Inn on the Alameda, the wife and I finally decided to step in. The moment we crossed the threshold, it was like discovering a hidden corner of Santa Fe: one part vibrant cantina, one part tranquil retreat, every detail radiating an effortless charm that is just genuine. You know that feeling when a place just clicks? I had only came for a bite, but the drink list was just too interesting. And after a day that left me a little edgy, I needed that orange-red smokey and sweet Oaxacan Old Fashioned.
The food? Let’s put it this way: the Garnachas (Deluxe, chef-inspired flat tacos with gourmet toppings) and the Queso Fundido with this melted cheese and an insane underlayer of chorizo, peppers, and other ? ... in a word, YUM.
Service was warm, effortless and, dare I say it, personal? (See below).
We sat in the courtyard, shaded by old-growth trees and flanked by adobe walls, the atmosphere cozy yet open-air. There’s also an intimate indoor dining room, plus a bar area that hums with a friendly local vibe. Every staff member—truly—seemed to love being there. It’s like being treated as a regular, even on a first visit.
True testament? We came back the next night.
If you find yourself walking by—don’t. Step inside; you’ll see.

On Friday , July 25, Went there for my birthday. We were anxious to try their drinks and appetizers. When we arrived around 6pm, the place was very busy. I informed the hostess that we were there for drinks. With a condescending response, she informs me, “there are 10 people ahead of you that want to do the same thing and I don’t think you would want to wait” So, sadly,we left. We didn’t realize that this was a restaurant and those going for drinks were lesser. We are not from New Mexico and unfamiliar with many of the establishments. But we determined that, Joes Tequila Bar, is not a bar but a fine dining restaurant. I rate this low, because we were not given the opportunity and treated lesser.

Joe's was fantastic. We walked through the galleries on Canyon Street all afternoon and ended at Joe's. This is a laid back, chill place with a great patio or indoor seating. We shared a couple apps (the fundido is SO good) and had a Martha's Marg. Recharged our batteries so we could continue enjoying a perfect day in Sante Fe.
Great service from Brian, he had all the info and fun suggestions for our tequila/sotol/mezcal flight! Great patio vibes at this spot for sure.

Abel made incredible spicy margs with firewater bitters. Great amount of spice and so well balanced.
The corquetas were so good, I had to order more to take home!
