My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at Joe's Tequila Bar. Our Server, Tenzin W, was impressive! He was attentive and helpful. He was friendly and made dining a pleasure. He excels in the Hospitality Industry. We recommend the Vegetarian Tortilla Soup, the Tacos, and the carrot cake. We can't wait to return!

Walked in and were seated right away. We were given menus and water. No one ever came back! We sat there for about 10 minutes. Tables around us were being served, yet not one server thought to ask if we had been helped. They wouldn't even make eye contact. A local friend recommended this place. We live in Abq. We won't be back! Place was also not very busy. Upon reading other reviews, seems to not be an isolated incident.

These people are tops. We don’t drink; we were looking for a nice dinner without all the Santa Fe pretentiousness . Simple fair done right with perfect seasoning and a good value On a night when the place was packed our meal was served quickly by an attentive, friendly staff.

Never been here, stopped by for a beer! The lady working up front wasn’t very greeting she wasn’t very warm or welcoming. Made me kind of uncomfortable and felt unwelcomed. Also gave her a little tip and did not receive a “Thank you” from her as well. Won’t be back.

My original review, below, was a rave which brought us back. A real let down. The once delicious chicken adovado has become just a chicken breast; don’t understand how you make adovado without a hint (visibly or taste) of red chile. The mescal cocktails we enjoyed before were too weak to detect the smokiness of mescal.
Nov 2024: This is also a fine dining location and not just a bar. We’re Albuquerquenos who have eaten at many places in Santa Fe in nearly 40 years. After today’s lunch we definitely plan to return. Our garnachas and pollo adovada were superbly prepared. Mezcal cocktails were tasty. Tenzin was an attentive, friendly, and educational server. Consider this spot for a fine lunch or a less heavy dinner.
Loved our drinks - sat at the bar but the courtyard area looked lovely too. First place I’ve seen in Santa Fe that had a bunch of space heaters outside. Would recommend to anyone, but especially if you’re doing the Margarita Trail!
