We wanted to love this place. The cocktails (at least the ones they had the ingredients for) were delicious. But the staff are kind of insufferable. They barely acknowledged our existence. Are they jaded and embittered by life in general or is it just their jobs? They were too busy commiserating with each other to greet us. Then, it turned out that they were out of ingredients for three out of the eight or so cocktails on the menu. They were out of the single IPA on tap. We had to produce a physical credit card rather than Apple Pay because the tap machine was down (the bartender tried to explain that very few people used it, which I don’t believe for a moment). It was just one thing after the other. The design and decor of the place is gorgeous and we’d have happily stayed for a second drink but the vibe was just too awful so we left. I do believe that problems start at the top of the hierarchy but if that’s not the case, the owner needs to clean house, including the manager who supervises this crew. Oh, and they weren’t remotely understaffed— there were three of them and only one other person at the bar (last Thursday). A group came in just before we left but that’s it. I think I’m not surprised that lots of other places are packed and this one … isn’t.

They're doing a Tiki themed cocktail menu, which they call Forbidden Ritual, until March 3rd (2024). We had a Sea to Saturn and a Test Pilot, both excellent. Plenty of room, you can sit at or in the room with the bar, or in a bright room with large windows with a view of the Railyard and the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Not crowded late on a Sunday afternoon. Note that the food popup is only Fri and Sat evenings. They use their own spirits in drinks, except for rums from other NM distillers. Hope to try some more soon.

We live within walking distance of this bar and really love it. The biggest problem is that sometimes we wait so long to be served that we leave. I’m not gonna trash the service because they’re doing the best they can. All of the drinks are intricate and take time. It seems like there is enough traffic on the weekend to warrant multiple bartenders. Its just that when you’re bar hopping and you can’t get a quick drink ya gotta move on. But we love the people and concept overall.

After my 4th visit here, I figured it was time to give some credit to this establishment. The staff are stellar, the cocktails are beautiful and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Alyssa made our cocktails on a few of our visits and they have all been fantastic. The menu was updated for the season and it was a nice change. Definitely will come back!

The female bartender was so insufferably rude. She will lock eyes with you several times, but not take your order for over half an hour, and then when she does, she just speaks with complete disgust. It’s not the patrons fault you hate your job so much that you take it out on innocent people.

This place is awesome if you want to arrive when the bar is reasonably empty and still not get served for nearly an entire hour. We kept trying to get peoples attention and eventually said forget it and left to the bar across the street, which served us in 5 mins. I dont care how good the drinks are (or the ambiance, which was nice), im not consistently waiting an hour for every drink.

I really want to give this place a better review, and if this were based purely on aesthetics I'd give them a 5. The decor is truly epic and gorgeous. However, the service is lacking tremendously when they are busy. I've been here probably 10 times now, and when you're the only party in the place they're quick to serve you. But if there are several parties, be prepared to wait over an hour for your small and relatively average tasting drinks. Please hire more staff, AASB!
