At Annapurna’s World Vegetarian Cafe I ordered the Falafel, but they only have a wrap, so I asked if they could make a sandwich
they agreed and attempted to make one for me but it was not too great.
I would NOT agree to their suggestion of cheese again on a falafel sandwich again
overall the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. I like that you can see into the kitchen too
the fries were good, but the watery 'garlic sauce' will be a pass in the future
Looking forward to trying more of their menu when I am in the area

The food is good, the atmosphere OK, but the owner is the nastiest, most unpleasant person I have ever met. Seven of us went to lunch one day. Right away the owner who was at the cash register was unpleasant. Let me count the ways:
- She pours small glasses of water and brings them to the table. There are pitchers, I asked if we could have one on the table, she said no, that if we wanted more water we had to come to the counter. Four times I had to go to the counter while I was eating, the rest of us the same. Still she refused to bring water,
-I asked 5 times for a knife, she looked right at me, then walked away, no knife, I ate my meal with a spoon and fork.
-We all , seven of us as i said, had full meals. There were only 11 other people in the restaurant so we were good clients. In the middle of our meal she came to the table and essentially told us we were not welcome. She said that meetings were not to be held at the restaurant, we were not having a meeting, simply lunch.
-Her energies were so negative, so angry that even being in the restaurant was a tense experience. Never a smile, none of us want to go back.

This is not an Indian restaurant - they do not know how to cook Indian food. When I ordered Lassi ($7.00) they gave me mango pulp so they didn’t even know what Lassi is made up of. I ordered Masala Dosa - the positive was it was filled from end to end but it was way too spicy. Instead of coconut chutney you get garlic and tofu based cream which was tasty. The Dal and potato filling had whole Dhaniyas (coriander seeds) and certain spices that left your stomach on fire and heavy. The Dal had no tadka which should have been sautéed with certain typical Indian spices. A suggestion to the restaurant is to look for Indian recipes online or watch certain Indian chef’s cooking shows to serve their customers proper Indian food.

We were a group of 5 people and went there in hope of trying some veggie options. We have never been so disappointed in any Indian food joint as we have been here!! Starting with Masala chai, we were wondering if there was any tea leaf in there? It was just milk and spices, which isn’t what chai should taste like. Then we ordered masala dosa, puri bhaji and Bombay frankie, everything was out of taste! Dosa was crippled, so soggy! What kind of dosa right out of kitchen tastes soggy?? The masala inside was just basic potatoes with spices and a tangy coconut something which definitely wasn’t a chutney! The Bombay Frankie had the exact same masala stuffing inside. Then the puri bhaji had puri stuffed with oil not fried with, dripping oily, the bhaji/sabzi was little okay but not upto the mark.. So, yes we paid for everything hefty so didn’t expect to be disappointed this extremely!!! Would NEVER NEVER NEVER come back here ever… wasted time, money and experience!

Love this place so much!! There were so many options, best vegan options in Santa Fe. much of the menu was also gluten free or could be gluten free. I loved getting a fresh coconut to drink as well!

Disappointing Experience

We had to pay upfront, which is fine, but unfortunately, they brought out the wrong order. When we let them know, the waitress said she messed up but refused to correct the mistake or offer a refund. We ended up leaving hungry and really disappointed. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for.

Been visiting this establishment for almost 10 years I love the environment and most of all the food. I recommend trying everything don't get stuck on only one dish.

I saw a man yesterday asking for an apology because the old man was being very disrespectul I was watching the moment he came in. He kindly asked for an apology and the old man wanted to call the Police on him?!?!??! If this is the type of service that this place gives then considere me out. Never have I seen a man just complain and get called the Police on.

Also the same man was very rude to me and my table he kept giving us dirty looks.

GOODBYE!!!! 😡

I love this place have u ever tried to make a dosa I have and it did not come.close to the tangy version at Annapurna, the masala dosa tastes so good the veges taste fresh and wonderfully cooked I don't view this as an Indian restaurant it is Ayurvedic and has some items to please the westerners. The staff has always been pleasant when I'm there, and it is very informal it reminds me of the old school vegetarian scene back in the 60's just good home cooked, interesting, healthy food

The food is superb for vegetarian. Reminded me so much of my favorite resto in Umalas, Bali Buddha. The coconut chutney is really yum
