Dhiru is an amazing chef and his service is exceptional! We had Dhiru cater a dinner at our house, setting up a dosa station on our back porch for a party of 30. The food was absolutely divine! If you want to have a great party with the most delicious Indian food around, we highly recommend Marigold Kitchen!
I first met Dhiru when he did a pop-up dinner at a local farm, Reunity Resources. It was one of the post memorable pop-up dinners I had ever been to and we have gone to so many! Dhiru's attention to detail and plating are impeccable. He presents flavors that are hard to find outside of his hometown of Mandapam, India. Additionally, he can make vegan food taste amazing! When he's not catering, he does weekly meal pick-ups from the kitchen he operates out of for a very reasonable price. We aren't vegan, but we don't care because every single thing he makes is divine. If you ever have the chance to try Dhiru's cooking, you will never forget it.
Marigold Kitchen's food is amazing! So fresh, such incredible flavors, and very creative. Plus Chef Dhiru is kind and easy to work with. 5 stars!
Dhiru is one of the most accommodating people that we had the good fortune to work with, and he is also an exceptional chef. He catered our daughter’s wedding for about 145 guests. We gave Dhiru traditional recipes from a specific region of India. These recipes were not mainstream, and Dhiru had never tasted them before. However, he was willing to work with us to experiment and tweak the recipes to meet our expectations. He worked conscientiously to incorporate the traditional recipes we had given him and created authentic and scrumptious food. He listened to our suggestions and bent backwards to meet our expectations. Making authentic food, especially food that is not familiar is no easy task, but Dhiru took on the challenge and created food that was not only delicious, but also nicely presented. All our guests were very complimentary of the food, especially our mom who is an excellent cook and one who does not give out compliments easily. Dhiru was without any doubt the best vendor we worked with. Thank you, Dhiru, for making our daughter’s wedding a memorable event.
Holy Moly their chocolate bread pudding was delicious!
Fresh, authentic, and a dream to work with!Chef Dhiru Paul is such a talented and imaginative chef who brings a unique elegance and joy to South Indian cuisine. We hired Aruna Café to cater our 140-person wedding, and the menu Chef Dhiru served with was just incredible: a thoughtful, flavorful, and authentic spread that folks with all palates and spice tolerances enjoyed. He took the time to understand what we wanted and was so easy to work with while keeping things real and within our budget. He incorporated our feedback, and when we asked him to make a Sri Lankan specialty he wasn’t as familiar with, he went above and beyond to make sure the recipe was perfect. (It was.)I can’t believe that we got to offer our friends and family this world-class Tamil cuisine in the middle of New Mexico. Our guests are still talking about the deep fried idlis, chicken appetizers, and mini uttapam as well as the lamb curry and kofta we served at dinner. Thank you, Aruna Cafe!
Aruna catered a party for 40 people for me and they were a delight to work with. Dhiru was so helpful and committed to making sure it was a success. The catered food was outstanding, as it always is at Aruna, and generous in quantity. Many people came up to ask me where the food came from. I couldn't have been happier.

Great for catering! Dhiru and Aruna Cafe catered a dinner party for me and the food was fantastic! Dhiru was very easy to work with, helping me select a menu that was an abundant amount of food and within my budget. While all of the dishes were big hits, the curry leaf chicken appetizer really wowed everyone, and the rose chocolate torte was a memorable end to a delicious evening.
Delicious and fresh. Ordered a full meal and 3 lassis for our family of 3 (2 adults/1 little kid) and it was the perfect amount. Can’t wait to have it again.

Absolutely incredible! Hands-down, the quality, the taste, and value is the best addition to Santa Fe’s food scene to date. The menu is vegetarian - everything is fresh, and is absolutely delicious. The prix-fixe for 2 adults (appetizer/entree/desert) is a wonderful value. Highly recommend - can’t wait to what’s next for Aruna cafe!
This is the best Indian vegetarian food in New Mexico by far and perhaps anywhere in the country. Dhiru is a wonderful cook and chooses his dishes carefully. His skill is in the fact that the taste is authentic South Indian, the food is light and tasty and there are no repercussions the next morning. We treat ourselves to Aruna Cafe every Friday.
As a connoisseur of Indian food who has had some of the best Indian from across the country, Aruna cafe certainly delivers in flavor. This week's offering was a quinoa salad, cumin rice and Tikka Masala Cauliflower. Everything was extremely flavorful and beautiful for take out.Its a very unique concept of pre-ordering takeout to be picked up on a very short time window on Friday. The food is good enough to merit this inconvenience as I plan to be a weekly patron.
