Always always the local tomasitas.. but paid 15.00 for a large nachos grande more like a small for 2 people and no drink refills. Local Santa Fran. But in from Albuquerque NM NOW and was excited to go here . Waitress was PIST we only ordered nachos and got pretty much ignored. It's touristed now too?? REALLY REALLY sad. You guys owe us some NACHOS and still tipped 6$! Not her fault what comes out of the kitchen!! Nice Mexican lady. Thx for being nice otherwise I was so disappointed. We didn't have much money , we CAN DO NACHOS GRANDE LARGE FOR 2 PEOPLE!! AND THEN.. ? NOT... HOW EMBARRASSING THX GUYS YOU JUST WANT $ WHO CARES YOU HAVE 20 MORE PEOPLE COMING IN AFTER US... SO SAD!! We LOVED Atrisco's Cafe! We visited Santa Fe from Southern California and we were really looking forward to some fantastic New Mexican cuisine. The problem is that we are vegetarian, and we've had a really difficult time finding suitable New Mexican food, since almost all restaurants do not offer vegetarian options--until we found Atrisco's.Not only did Atrisco's offer vegetarian options, but their offerings were mouth watering and prepared expertly. This was one of the best New/Mexican experiences we've ever had.We ordered 2 beers, chips and salsa, sopaipillas, the vegetarian especial enchilada, vegetarian especial stuffed sopaipilla and a kid's cheese enchilada with a side of beans. What a meal!The veggies especial included mushrooms, zucchini, yellow squash, red pepper and green pepper, and they were busting with flavor and still tender crisp. We've had vegetarian Mexican food that tasted like stewed vegetables because they were so overcooked, and they included broccoli and cauliflower for Pete's sake! These are not veggies that say Mexico or New Mexico.Even the tortilla chips were extraordinary. They weren't oily, and were a bit thicker than your normal chips. The corn flavor in them was remarkable. The salsa was medium spicy, chunky and oh so delicious! YUM!We had the sopaipillas with local honey that was on our table. The cinnamon flavor really came through without being overpowering. The honey was so thick and flavorful that you could taste the wildflowers that it was made from.This was a top notch experience and I highly recommend you try Atrisco's. You won't be disappointed.Vegetarian options: Enchiladas, Sopaipillas, burritos, tacos and chilli rellenos could all be ordered vegetarian, including chips and salsa, chili fries and sopaipillas.Kid-friendliness: Atrisco's had a kid's menu with tacos, enchiladas, burrito, hamburger and a grilled cheese sandwich

Sat at the bar. Bartender lacks every single quality of a good bartender. One dimensional personality.zero punctuality. Didn't acknowledge me for 13 minutes and there are only 5 people at the bar in total. I ordered right away because I felt he was going to forget about me. Food was good at least. He didn't check back to see if I needed anything only stared around the restaurant while standing there doing pretty much nothing the whole time. I really wanted some water and had to ask the server passing by to tell the bartender I wanted some water as he only served me my bar and no glass of water with it which is an important rule when serving alcohol. When he finally came back to my side of the bar it was only to clean up the lady's mess sitting next to me but all he did was use a dirty napkin she was using(gross) ? to Puck up the beans she spilled off her plate and didn't even bother to wipe down the bar with a sanitary towel or even just a wet towel. He just allowed more people to sit in a very spot that is still dirty with salt and pieces of lettuce and drops of honey that are stuck to the counter. All he did was come back and give me my check and say "are you good?" I love this restaurant and I love coming here and bringing people here. But this bartender clearly needs to learn service. Not just good service but service period. His name is Allen. I will of course be coming back but I will not be sitting at the bar if he is going to be working.Since I cant reply to the previous response to my review of like to say this. I have pictures and will share them on a different platform. DIRTY,FILTHY BAR! there's no way you just look at a camera footage and can tell how sticky a counter top is left. And yes it is 100% true your bartender lacks experience in hospitality and every aspect of Good service. But hey, the person who wrote this reply is most likely one of the main reasons artriscos gets away with poor service . It's always over looked and made it to be the customers either lying or flat out wrong. Hide behind the excuse of looking at cameras but everyone eventually sees the lack of service and cleanliness. But ok you guys win since you can say you look at cameras and probably have never even bothered to train your staff properly on waiter/bartender etiquette. Hopefully you guys can pull it together soon. Even if you don't, sadly people will always still come because they love the food and that's about the only thing to like in this place. Saddens me to write this but totally a backwards and shameful reply .

Had the stuffed sopapilla Christmas, it was yummy. Red chili just enough spice, and the green chili was flavorful. Large portions, shared a meal with chips and salsa. It was plenty of food. The service was friendly. Highly suggest if you want to get away from the tourism. Location in a local mall, but don't let that discourage you from this place. Checked all the boxes for our expectations for new mexico cuisine.

Both my husband and I ordered takeout Steak dinner, on the menu the steak dinner says the steak is 6oz, when we got home to eat it I weighed the steak and each steak was 3.6oz. I weight food for health reasons. When I contacted management he claimed the meat shrinks and proceeded to hang up on me.
