The service is nice, the whole place looks like a cozy cottage, but the food was TERRIBLE. I ordered enchiladas, and the only thing inside of them was pepper. GREEN AND RED PEPPERS.

We had a lovely lunch and dinner at The Blue Heron during our staycation at Ojo Santa Fe. The Fish Tacos and sides for lunch were very yummy. Our dinner salmon entrees and our desserts were delicious, too. Great restaurant I Santa Fe with a gourmet menu and beautiful setting whether you eat outside with a view of the spring fed lake or inside the elegant air conditioned dining room.

just Yum! I'm going back and taking new guests. Sitting on the patio amongst the trees feels like being ‘somewhere else'

Beautiful restaurant, not the friendliest staff I've ever met. Our waitress didnt check on us once, but she did stare at us the whole time. Their was a young man that was so nice he answered all of our questions. They should put on the website not kid friendly. They have no high chairs no boosters, and no kid friendly food. We will not go back to that restaurant. And the salad we got the salmon was amazing the salad looked old and wilted.

Beautiful place with great food, but it was over an hour late. My husband has dietary restrictions and was disappointed the dish he wanted was unavailable. When we asked about our late dinner they said maybe they would throw in a free dessert, but never followed through. We wouldn’t have minded waiting since we sat outside and were enjoying the view, lots of wildlife and sitting by the water was gorgeous, but we were then late to our pool reservation, which the spa then blamed us for and didn’t give us any extra time or monetary compensation. It was a real disappointment. This experience could have been much better.

The food just wasn't very good. My husband's steak came out almost raw (not medium) and had to be sent back to be cooked further. My dinner was eh. I think the whole resort maybe needs to rethink their dining options.

We haven't been here in quite awhile and it definitely feels a step down. Service was slow-ish, entrees were not all brought out together for party of four, drinks were good, entrees a bit uneven and not all attractively presented (some were). sherbet trio was liquid sugar, really not that enjoyable at all. It was a moderately warm evening and there was little or no a/c on inside and no windows open for a breeze. Not really pleasant that way either. The staff is all very polite and works hard but there wasn't one employee over the age of 25 -- and the youth/inexperience was showing a bit. They weren't full/slammed and the hostess had to go find dinner menus for us (she only had one). She came back later with 2 more but there were four of us! Our table was wobbly and the hostess made an effort to fix it which worked, but she used a cloth napkin under the leg, so now there's a napkin bunched up on the floor. It just didn't feel as polished as it did in the past and with the myriad of choices in Santa Fe, I can't imagine this isn't hurting their business. The captive audience will always be those staying at the resort or who stay for a meal after a spa appointment. We wouldn't drive over again (about 12 mi from our house in midtown SFe) to eat here.

The servers were so amazing. They did a great job talking to us about the menu and getting us what we needed. The restaurant and massage therapists carried the experience. Lodging was rocky with someone's leftovers being left in our fridge and some additional clues that the lodging wasn't cleaned fully. I did hear that their “system” had been on the fritz for two weeks at time of lodging and dining, but I was shocked they hadn't found a workaround or solution by the time of staying. No confirmations outside of OpenTable and the great reservations team handling my last minute massage reservations Check out their massage treatments and food... maybe avoid staying over while they figure their stuff out.

We came for our anniversary, The establishment is neat but the restaurant took over an hour to get us our food, we were the first to be seated and the last to get our food. They didn’t even apologize and when I brought it up to the male server he said we can give you a free desert. Guess what we didn’t get one. I’m not one to leave bad reviews but it was not a good experience. The staff was not very friendly.

Had a great experience 4 years ago with delicious food, drinks and service. This year the food was not great, the cocktail options were limited to vodka drinks only, and service was ok.

We had dinner outdoors on the lovely and peaceful patio and were inundated by the flies that were attracted to the food. The food was very good, with many choices on the menu; however, I recall it to have been outstanding in the past. The restaurant was well-staffed and the staff were attentive and incredibly responsive. I'd go back (we are local Santa Feans and were not staying at the spa) but next time it will be for lunch.

This is my 6th meal at this restaurant. Unfortunately the salmon, although crispy and brown on the outside was still cold on the inside - literally as though it was in the refrigerator moments before being plated. On the plus side, the didn't charge me for it and comped dessert for us. Not the best 25th wedding anniversary dinner but the ambience was serene.

Food was good and setting was fine. However service was incredibly slow. A meal that I thought would take an hour lasted 2 hours with much time between courses and the restaurant was not very busy. So I'm not sure what the problem was. We've eaten here before and I don't remember encountering this. Maybe a staffing issue?

What a wonderful way to celebrate my husbands birthday! Food was great! Ambiance was tranquil. And service was fabulous. Highly recommended!

After a beautiful day at the spa this restaurant was subpar. The steak was overcooked and the sangria was cheap wine. I recommend driving to Santa Fe proper for dinner.
