As part of my AI generated #restaurantreviews we dined at @cafecastrosf and I chose this location out of several options because it's a family business. I opted for a chicken #quesadilla this time, as they didn't serve fajitas that night. Dinner sized, I ate 3 slices and my husband enjoyed the last one so we didn't have to take home leftovers, as well as his burrito. The service was great, food was delicious (they even make their own chips in house!), and the setting was cozy. I ordered the guacamole expecting a small bowl, but received this small ketchup container (it was $5) (I do understand the economy and inflation though!). This is one we'll come back to again. 4/5 . #gourmetrecovery #supportsmallbusiness #familybusiness #smallbusiness

The food was great. The service was very friendly. We had a long drive and were looking for something casual, fast, good and not fancy or expensive and Cafe Castros met all requirements. We will eat here again the next time we're in Sana Fe.

Wonderful meal in a cute restaurant with excellent service. I had the Mexican steak and enchilada meal, along with chips salsa and guacamole. Everything was prepared perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the steak given the price and would likely order it again if I can get back there before leave town. While I was disappointed that this was one of those places that charges for chips and salsa, it was reasonably priced and since I got guacamole it was a slight up charge to add the salsa. The server was attentive and stayed on top of our needs. Definitely a highlight of my Santa Fe visit.
Food was good, the last time I was here I think the food was better. Service was okay. Food came pretty fast. I was in and out in thirty minutes.

Although I don't like leaving anything other than positive reviews, I'm doing so now based upon a lunch I had here last week. The quality of the food was not good from a flavor perspective. The food came in cold to lukewarm, and the service was not pleasant. I can't give Cafe Castro a positive review, unfortunately.
