Outstanding breakfast. Had the best pancakes I've had in NM, the bacon was perfect and the orange juice was fresh squeezed. Had a blast watching the bakery operation while seated at our table.

Oh Maureen...your review below. Watching you screech and get practically hysterical because the place was busy and everyone was trying their best...and you had to wait maybe an extra 5 mintues? Your entitlement was breathtaking...and your increasing hysteria? Entertaining. there are worse things happening in the world my dear...and by the way, it's not their fault that you forgot your mid-morning snack to ward off the "hangries..." this place is the best IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE!

There are tables open for 10 people right now but we’re all waiting because none of the servers will bus a table. I asked and was told “not. My job”

Delicious! Visited Chocolate Maven twice during our visit. We all enjoyed watching the bakers at their craft while eating our breakfast.

I ordered the Baja wrap with no tomatoes and no avocados. I’m allergic to avocados. The first wrap came with avocado on it. When I called the lady who took the call was really nice and helpful! I went to pick up the new sandwich, and when I got back to my office I find there was no avocado and tomato, which is great! But there was also no onion, vinaigrette, or cilantro in the wrap. So I got chicken, cheese and lettuce on my wrap. Wasn’t going to call or go back a second time. Really unfortunate! My lunch was ruined twice!

Ordered a last minute gluten free cake for a coworker’s last day. It was great-many didn’t realize it was gluten free! The workers were very helpful letting me know if it could be made in time.

This was hands down the best breakfast experience in Santa Fe. It transcends its warehouse home. The food is amazing, the baked goods fresh and plentiful, the coffee well brewed without a hint of bitterness, service attentive, and the ambiance well done. Watching the bakery at work through the glass is fun to see while you chow down. Our favorites were the blue corn blueberry pancakes and the migas!

Chocolate Maven looks like it’s in a warehouse district, because there’s not a lot of signage and no curb appeal. However, once you go inside, there’s a bakery and a restaurant section and there’s so many great looking and tasting pastries and cakes. The staff is friendly and helpful. When you enter the restaurant the layout is a little funky. There’s one main entrance and to the left, you can order pastries, coffee and teas to go. Off to the right is where you’ll wait for a seat to the restaurant. It can be a little crowded if you’re waiting for a coffee and people are coming in for the restaurant. This store does get crowded, so there’s lots of people going in and out. There is an area at the back of the shop where you can see them make homemade chocolate croissants. Overall great pastries, OK coffee, staff is great, but the layout is kind of funky. Still give it a four star.

Food was ok. The service sucked! It took the server, Rachel, who didn't even introduce herself, about 15 mins to get the the table and take our order. Normally, you'd expect the server to come and take a drink order then offer assistance with the menu. None of that. She just took our order. When the food came, she didn't even check if everything was ok. No offer to refill the waters or coffees. She basically came to the table to get the food order and returned to give the check. After such a horrible service, we lost interest in checking out the bakery section. I just read her name on the check.

Chocolate Maven is one of the local eateries in Santa Fe that everyone should visit at least once. You are greeted before you even step inside by the delicious smells of the bakery. First step in the door is in the bakery shop with splendid views of cookies, cakes, pies and breads. If you weren’t hungry yet, you are now. The hostess had a friendly smile and the wait was minimal. I ordered the Bahn Mi sandwich and was pleased with the flavor. It isn’t traditional Vietnamese style, and maybe that should be made known in the dish name, but it was still scrumptious and I’d order it again. The kettle chips were also amazing, no changes needed there. I will hopefully be back soon to try more of the menu!Parking: Limited spots and bumpy parking lot. Street parking may be better

I'm from out of town & I visited this bakery to pick up some treats. The staff were super friendly & helpful! The carrot cake was delicious. I also tried their chocolate chip macaroons & apple pie, which was especially good. I want to go back & try more desserts!
