The food was innovative and staff professional and extremely friendly. Definitely will return.
Everything we ordered was amazing! The servers extremely knowledgeable and courteous. We would go back!
Absolutely fantastic experience for first timers, wonderful selection of many small shared plates. We wanted so many, next time we will try some entrees with friends perhaps!
Excellent service and attention to detail on our anniversary night. Made perfect through the professional service of Emma and Paris
Wait staff explained foods and beverages thoroughly as we requested and offered valuable suggested complimentary items. Seamless coordination of service by gracious staff. Beautiful food presentations only exceeded by the depth of flavors.
After years of visiting Santa Fe, this was our first visit to the Coyote Cafe. My wife started out with a Hot Buttered Rum, which took the chill off from the walk to the restaurant, and keeping with the outside temperatures, I had a delightful Winters Blush, with rhubarb, cinnamon topped with sparkling wine. We had a salad and the Tellicherry Peppered Elk Tenderloin. Both were well prepared and delicious. Clifford provided excellent service -- there when we needed him. We plan to return when next in Santa Fe.
We had a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter Parris was very attentive, informative and gracious.
Very accommodating and professional staff. Lively, elegant setting. Great quality food individual items all very good. Overall feeling of over sauced, too many elements, too much going on, but not bad if that makes any sense.
We wish we knew the name of our server. He is from Chicago and has worked there since 2021. He was exceptional. Professional, funny, on-point at every turn. It was my birthday and we received complementary champagne toasts right upon seating. He was knowledgeable and helpful. The food was exquisite. So delicious. Every bite was amazing. We had the bison tartare, elk tenderloin and Oaxacan chocolate cake. Incredible. The wine was fantastic and the desert wine pairings were perfect. We've had three other meals in our foodie lifetime that matched this. That is how epic this meal was. Amazing. Thank you and we will definitely be back when we're in Santa Fe next.
What a fabulous experience! From the moment we walked in and were escorted to our table by our server. Very attentive to our experience and knowledgeable about the menu. BUT, it's about the food. Starting with the cornbread with flavored butters.. Excellent! We talked about my love of hatch chiles and he brought me a taste of the chile polenta. I had already ordered or I would have tracked that side on the menu. Grilled lobster tails and scallops were wonderful. But the best part was the Tamale dessert. I don't even like dessert and was floored by this. The Pastry Chef created a visual that can't be repeated or explained! Wish I knew my server's name, but he moved to Santa Fe from Seattle 10 years ago. Thanks for adding to a memorable last night in Santa Fe

Coyote Cafe is that very rare restaurant that has maintained its absolutely superb quality since day one. First off, the service is above and beyond. When we told Parris, our server, it was our anniversary, he immediately brought out a champagne toast. Simone, the Sommelier is actually MORE than a somm. He's on his way to becoming a Wine Master—another rarity, and he knows GREAT wines. Knowing it was a special occasion, he selected the most perfect wine for our palates, told us its history, terroir, and about the winemakers, and it was out of this world. It paired beautifully with our elk steak and duck confit—both of which were freaking-fantastic. You go out to dinner for the experience as well as the food, and Coyote made our anniversary a completely memorable and beautiful experience. Yup, we've tried the newer places in Santa Fe. We're foodies to the core. But while other “new” and “hip” places come and go, Coyote steadily creates FANTASTIC food, with SUPERB service all around. Our first visit to Coyote was in the 1980s. It was our go-to then and will remain our go-to for years to come. THANK YOU Coyote, and Parris, and Simone and team, for a beautiful evening.
The server could have been more attentive. The greater was so accommodating and very kind. Wasn't expecting the cost to be what it was
1. Food was amazing- very unique, creative and delicious! 2. Google says casual dress, however, be ready to be snubbed if you don't look the part. Mind you, we were in dressy jeans, dressy shoes and nice sweaters. Take a sport coat. 3. We went early thinking we could have a drink at the bar. There is no bar. Don't do this. 4. The hostesses were the worst and honestly made all difference in my decision to never come back. Rude and judgmental. I've been to many far more upscale restaurants and not treated as poorly. 5. Our waiter and help were amazing! Coyote Cafe- Teach your hostesses to do better.
AN AMAZING CULINARY EXPERIENCE. THE AMBIANCE, SERVICE AND FOOD WERE EXCELLENT. A GREAT PLACE TO CELEBRATE IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES OR TO SHARE SPECIAL MOMENTS WITH THE FAMILY OR FRIENDS.
Creative dishes in a sleek space with an open kitchen. The apps sparkled. Nothing was less than outstanding: the yellowtail crude, pork belly tacos and elk carpaccio. The cocktails were top notch as well, especially the Yuzu Pisco Sour. Entres were good to, but not as outstanding as the apps. For one, the Duck Confit dish was tiny. I almost asked "Where's the duck"? We would have ordered a dessert or two, but after the dessert menu was dropped off, no one came by the take our order for a good half hour, so we ended up settling the bill and taking our leave. The restaurant was busy, but still, not a good look.
