Oh my goodness this place is ridiculously delicious. The night before I spent $100 at a known place in downtown where they have a rooftop bar and el chile tornado blows them out of the water while also being significantly cheaper. I tried both their burrito and tacos. They are loaded with flavor. If I'm ever back in NM I would want to return to this place.

Literally one of the best burrito I've ever eaten.. The place was immaculately clean. I would definitely have to give these guys a five star. They're avocado Hot sauce is amazing. And there's some benches where you can sit comfortably in the shade and eat

Honestly I’ve only ever come for their breakfast burritos. My favorite breakfast burrito in town. The breakfast burritos are a bit more Mexican than New Mexican, but it’s still the best. Bacon with salsa verde is the best, get some extra salsa verde

El Chile Toreado catered our wedding and they were INCREDIBLE!! I can’t say enough good things about Berenice and the whole El Chile Toreado catering team. The food was absolutely delicious, the salsa spicy in the best way, everyone was just raving about how good everything was. Berenice personally served my spouse and I a special plate, with tacos, rice & beans, and delicious chicharrón and guacamole. And on top of that everyone with El Chile Toreado was incredibly friendly and kind and they really made our wedding shine!! I can’t wait for the next time I’m in Santa Fe so I can try out the El Chile Toreado restaurant - I will definitely be coming by next time I’m in town!!!
I just had the best tacos I have ever eaten and I had to stop and write up a review. I had a chicken en adobo and a picadillo taco. Well priced at $3 each, they were perfectly seasoned. The chicken was a standout- the chicken was in that Goldilocks state of perfection, not dry, not undercooked, not too salty, and with the just right amount of sauce. I could have eaten a dozen of those tacos. The service was quick, they answered all my questions easily and accurately. I want to go back and get more for dinner.

It’s about frigging time that we find a genuine New Mexican green chili breakfast burrito. The whole experience was fantastic! From the wonderful tortillas all the way to the red and green sauces on our vegetarian and bacon breakfast burritos were the best we have had in the city. Did I mention they are not afraid to season their burritos? We will come back! Gracias. El Chile Toreado.
