Really, really good food and great atmosphere. Everything we tried was worth ordering (ceviche trio, pork belly tacos, chile en nogada, flan, pot de cream, and tres leche churro bread pudding) but the chile en nogada and ancho chile pot de cream were outstanding! Highly recommend if you are l
ooking for a plan off the plaza.

Beautiful restaurant and the service was wonderful. I had the Tempura Fish tacos and they were sublime. I especially enjoyed the mango salsa. It was sweet and tangy and paired perfectly with the tacos.

Wonderful meal this evening. Service was top notch!! This restaurant is run very well! Great cozy atmosphere. I had the Pistachio Papi cocktail delicious. We had a few apps at the bar. I planned to get the stuffed poblano or short ribs but after the apps we opted to do a trio of tacos. The pork belly and then the shrimp and carnitas. It didn’t disappoint highly recommended. Menu has a great variety to choose from can’t wait to go again.

We had such a fantastic experience at Escondido! The tacos were absolutely delicious — perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The appetizers were incredible, especially the jalapeño poppers and the elote — both were a hit at our table. The drinks were just as impressive and paired perfectly with the food. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and friendly service — we’ll definitely be back!

We were seated inside after we had reservations for the rooftop and then we were served like a fast food restaurant, hurry up and order. We ordered the special, the Picachu steak. It was so tough you couldn't eat it! I regularly cook with the cut of meat they just didn't get it right my wife got the braised beef it was bland and also underwhelming. If he beat Flay I want a turn

I’m a frequent visitor to Escondido, one of my favorite spots in Santa Fe. From the delicious food to the inviting atmosphere and attentive service, it never disappoints. Today’s lunch, however, reached an entirely new level of excellence. Denis, a newly hired team member, exemplified true hospitality — gracious, attentive, and effortlessly professional. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and hope to be served by him again.

@leoperezphotos Casual fine-dining never tasted better - a must visit for outstanding Mexican and SW cuisine. The guacamole was fresh and chunky, could use some more heat, maybe an option for customers? Mole was authentic and the chicken enchiladas were tasty and juicy. Chiles en Nogada are outstanding, generous serving. Chef Fernando is very talented and an inspiring leader - he knows food and knows people!

We were in Sanat Fe for a trip and decided to give Escondido a try. It was our 35 anniversary dinner and we wanted to do something a little nicer. We stayed in downtown SF and the restaurant is a bit outside of town but not very far.

We started with the Ahi Tuna Crudo and a cup of the Saffron Corn Bisque. Both were very flavorful and the Ahi Tuna Crudo was full of flavor with very fresh tuna. I ordered the Chile En Nogada, which sems to be their signature dish. The chili was large and not overly spicy with the filling of ground pork & veal not having a ton of flavor but very good. My wife had the Vegetarian Mole Enchiladas, again very full of flavor and the mole sauce wath awesome. We added an order of Black Garlic Mashed Potatoes because they sounded so interesting, they did not disappoint.

We finished with the Tres Leches Churro Bread Pudding which was very interesting and amazing flavor.

The only reason I didn't give them 4 stars is becuse we flet very rushed. The waiter was back at our table before were even done with our appetizers. While the waiter seemed like a nice guy he also seemed like he just wanted to get our order and get us on our way.

Went on a Sunday for brunch. The food was fabulous. Briefly met the chef/owner and he was funny and personable. Obviously had a great rapport with his staff. Our waitress was a little distracted and didn’t take our order until we had finished our appetizer. Which BTW was the calamari served with a chili lime sauce and was delicious! I cannot say enough about how good the food was. We didn’t have alcoholic drinks, but they also looked amazing, especially the Bloody Mary’s. We have been visiting Santa Fe for 19 years and this is a MUST destination for you to experience.
