Service was not as well as expected. It was actually pretty bad, extremely bad. There were three tables we were second in line and actually being second in line we got served first the third table got second and the first table got served last extremely late with their food. I cannot believe they got served with their food so late...
Lunch was suberb and the service was wonderful. we were excited to see new items on the the menu.
Service was disjointed and rushed - different people bringing different things, not knowing what was ordered by whom
The food was great, drinks sub-par,the service was bad. We had a girl who was rushing us through our stay, forgot to bring items and was not very social. Thank goodness another waiter helped us,brought us chips and checked in on our table.
Wonderful food and beverages; attentive server. Because it was winter we did not choose the patio; had a table by the fire inside, instead.
DINNER WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE. THE SERVER WAS ATTENTIVE AND FRIENDLY. TAMALES WERE SCRUMPTIOUS!
We had the best service and the margaritas were awesome! The lone star ribs were cooked to perfection and very tender; full of flavor. Got the guacamole because the salsa wasn't too hot and was hoping for some spicy goodness. We also ordered the carne asada burrito but it had more beans than carne. But overall still absolutely one of our favorite places.
This is not our first visit to Gabriel's but probably the best. We decided to go New Mexican for Thanksgiving this year. Gabriel's did not disappoint. The patio was decorated beautifully for the winter holidays. We arrived a little early and were seated immediately. Our orders arrived reasonably fast, as we sipped on our excellent house margaritas. The wait staff demonstrated professionalism with a friendly, warm touch. I would recommend Gabriel's to locals and visitors alike. You will have a lovely experience.
Food was very good, but the service was a little slow but friendly. I thought the lights were up too bright for dinner time. But we definitely enjoyed our dinner.
Table-side guacamole is definitely worth getting, always a favorite local place

Usually order the veggie fajitas which are killer feeds 2 and under $20. Went today early at opening time however this time the fajitas along with the tofu added were in my opinion yesterday’s leftovers did not even get close to what we were used to. I will try it one more time but at a later time of day to prove my point.
I am disappointed and did not expect this from such a renowned eatery.

We have frequented and enjoyed Gabriel's for many years. The southwest ambiance of the facility is very nice and we enjoy the pet friendly outside patio when the weather is good. The table-side guacamole is always a treat. We often get the fish tacos for a healthy meal that leaves us not overstuffed so we have room for our favorite desert, the Banana Vallarta. Unfortunately at our most recent visit, the fish tacos were terrible (a chunk of charred fish with not much of anything else in the tortia). They were so bad that we stopped eating after a couple of bites. The waiter was apologetic and we did not get charged for the dinners, but it was a great disappointment. The restaurant is under new ownership (2024), so we are not sure if they decided to change the recipe or if the chef just had a bad night. The waiter shared our concerns with the manager, so hopefully they will address the issue in the future. We plan on giving Gabriel's another chance.
We have been going to Gabriel’s for 30+ years and I’ve never been more disappointed than I was this evening. Our service was awful. We ordered Silver Coin margaritas but were served House margaritas that was clearly made with a mix. The waitress never came to check on us and we finally just stood up and asked someone else for our bill so we could pay. The bathrooms were nasty. There was a ton of food on the ground under our table and I had to wipe the crumbs off my seat before sitting down.
I wish I could say that the food was still great, but the Plato de Carnitas wasn’t nice and crispy like it usually is done.
We won’t be going back…sorry Gabriels…you lost a (former) local fan.
