The food business in SF is competitive. Lots of verity, but heavy Northern New Mexico style dishes. There are alot of ethnic choices to choose from also. The Gatsby is like a bigger city of an experience, not SF. I would suggest give it a try, it's fun, but $$$$$!

Some of the best food I’ve had in a very long time. The staff are genuinely beyond kind, and the mushroom soup is absolutely to die for—a must-have. This restaurant goes above and beyond anything I’ve experienced in ABQ.

Exceptionally good drinks and really good food. Such a solid choice and easy to get in. Great ambiance and very friendly staff (thanks, Brian!). We had the old fashioneds and an espresso martini to start. Tuna tartare was fresh and light, perfectly seasoned. Clam chowder was rich and flavorful but not too heavy. Lobster bisque was so flavorful, creamy, and rich without being overly fishy, or heavy. Both soups came with a divine puff pastry. The chicken tikka masala was extraordinary. They did my favorite indian dis beautifully. We finished with an incredibly light tiramisu. He treated us to a chef’s special cheesecake that was out of this world. They were kind enough to let us in in our ski outfits, and we had the greatest time. Thank you! We will be back.

My wife and I felt the entire experience was very gimmicky. Over priced and the presentation of the food was amateurish. The place is advertised as a classic American speakeasy, but serves a weird fusion that has nothing to do with classic American food. It’s like the Chef is trying too hard to prove himself, but just can’t pull it off. The presentation of the food is a jumbled mess, micro greens sprinkled on top of every dish, and the food was a weird kind of world fusion or Mexican fusion. If you want a good steak and a proper service visit market steer, the Gatsby is just not what it claims to be…

Great place and superb service! Weird think at entrance being a hair dresser area tho, kind of a turn off before ingesting good food 😬would suggest to switch entrance for exit just so we all keep our appetites 🙏

We decided to check out the Happy Hour for the first time. I’m gluten-free (celiac), and the waiter was so happy to let me know they had plenty of options, which made me super excited. However, since I’m gluten-free and celiac, I need to be extra careful about cross-contamination. We ordered the tuna tartare, but it arrived with crackers right on top. I took a chance, but unfortunately, I ended up feeling pretty sick later that night. I’m not sure the waiter fully understood, and I’m not sure everything I had was truly celiac-safe. The food was really good, and the lobster bisque was amazing, but I’m still not sure it was celiac-safe. That’s why trying new places can be tough—it’s not worth the risk of getting sick.
