Very happy I stopped by! Workers were very friendly and passionate about chocolate. I was able to try some of the sipping chocolates before deciding which I’d like. Definitely felt like a fancy treat. The truffles we bought were all amazing and tasted super rich. They had very interesting flavors as well like piñón truffle and horchata truffle.
The chocolate here is the real deal. I make a point of coming to Kakawa every time I visit Santa Fe. Juno was a very helpful and knowledgeable chocolate barista, and recommended we try the earl grey truffle (did not disappoint).
We ordered the Mayan and the Kakawa’s American hot chocolate, 3oz each. Totally satisfying and leaves you wanting just a liiiiittle bit more, which is exactly how I like to feel after a treat.
The best So smooth and creamy. The truffles and ice cream both amazing
Incredible selection of fine drinking chocolates and amazing truffles. Absolutely worth it.
The chocolate exilers were divine and chocolate truffles sensational. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you are in the area!!!
friendly little spot with a ton of chocolate options…and fun shirts!
Extremely disappointed in the service. My friend and I were at this location today. My friend needed chocolate and I got a drink. However, the Chica serving me would not serve my friend because I was at the order counter for both of us and my friend was at the candy counter waiting for her to go get the candy. I told the girl that we needed candy, but she ignored my request and my friend. So rude. We are seniors and the chica said she would not help my friend because she was 'out of line'. I was ordering for both of us but we needed help with the candy counter.
There was a time I would have recommended Kakawa as an excellent place, but no longer.

I'd read about Kakawa before coming to Santa Fe and we made a detour to visit. We are so glad we did! We were offered samples of hot chocolate before deciding. My granddaughter chose a mix of chili and regular. My sister chose ice cream. I wanted to try the chocolates and chose two from behind the counter--it was hard with so many choices. The server was so kind and patient--we really appreciated her. I also bought a bag of the Jefferson hot chocolate mix home with me (it was my favorite). We all tried each others' treats and everything was both beautiful and DELICIOUS. What fun!
Great experience, good chocolate

The chocolates were hard with not much flavor. Tasted like cheap chocolate with a high price.
Excellent service and very accommodating to my food allergy kiddo. Some allergens were labeled, but one of ours wasn't but they quickly looked up the ingredients and could tell us what was safe and what wasn't. The mint chocolate ice cream, frozen horchata, and chocolates were delicious.
The best chocolate I have ever had! 🍫
It was fine. The peppermint pattie tasted like after eight chocolate. The sipping chocolate was really good and that's what is giving them a 2. The other chocolate was mostly dark. But they blended into each other on taste. My kids tried the brownie and said it was fine!
Delicious, rich chocolate elixirs and ice cream are on offer. The chocolate bar team are excellent. We had help mixing elixirs to get exactly what appealed the most to us. Highly recommend!
