My husband and I visited Santa Fe and stumbled on this amazing Mexican restaurant. Wait was long but so worth it! The only thing I would change is the free sopapilla that came with our meal to be served at the end so they are hot versus with our food.
I had never been to this restaurant before. The food was amazing but the service was beyond belief. Best customer experience i have ever had!

We had a great lunch here on Saturday and Ashley was such a great bartender/waitress. The food here is outstanding, I had mushroom soup (served with a warm wedge of bread) and fish tacos and both were outstanding. I also had a great NA beer I hadn’t had before and I highly recommend, it’s called Bero. They served the west coast IPA and it was excellent. I ran out to sprouts and bought the east coast variety to try. The ambience here is terrific, vibrant enough to feel festive but quiet enough for conversation. The bathrooms qualify as some of the coolest I’ve ever been in with custom brass doors in the stalls. This is our second time here and we’ll return.

La Choza is our go to restaurant in Santa Fe
Serving up great a margherita and equally great food. Anything with red and green chili is good, the portions are generous and the service is friendly and quick. Consistently good and with a new addition giving more space the wait should be shorter.
Highly recommended!

I have been living in Santa Fe for over 25 years and have been dinning at La Choza for most of that time. It used to be a small establishment and the sister restaurant of The Shed which is on the plaza. The Shed was always packed with tourists and La Choza is where the locals went. Since then La Choza has grown their building and added a lot of new seating. It's a much larger Restaurant and much busier with waiting time consistently at around 30 minutes. Although the servers are still very friendly, I have to feel that the vibe in the restaurant has changed dramatically. It is no longer a fun place to go. It's changed so much from it's beginnings that I feel as though it's difficult for me to continue to highly recommend it.

Extremely long wait for food just like any other place! Well over rated. Once is enough. Thanks but no thanks..

Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. The food was very good. The stacked enchiladas with red sauce were delicious and had a very full flavor. The chilli relleno and tamale my wife had were very good as well. A note to future diners, there is usually a wait to be seated but it's worth the wait. The entire wait staff worked together to take care of the guests. One of the better restaurants in Santa Fe. A great value for the money!

Fantastic restaurant and one of the best experiences we’ve had on our road trip. You do need to get there early if you don’t want to wait for a table as they don’t take reservations but you can leave your name and wait which I noted many people did. Great cocktails and generous portions make this place great value for money.

Great little spot to eat authentic New Mexican cuisine. Very popular. Especially in the evenings. I've been quoted wait times up to 2 hours before (had to walk away because when I'm hungry, I get hangry).
Best time of day is lunch, right after opening. I'd say 11:30-11:45 is the sweet spot.

Extremely attentive staff and servers. Food was good. Met with a rude group while waiting so experience diminished.

La Choza is our favorite New Mexican restaurant in Santa Fe. The service is excellent and not their red and green chilies are amazing. My favorite is the stacked blue corn enchiladas. Cheese or add chicken, ground beef or chicken or pork ardovado. The margaritas are also great.
