This is my second time in Santa Fe. The food was great and the restaurant was cozy. The only reason for a four was the service. I ordered take out and upon receipt notice that silverware and napkins were missing. I asked for it and they put one set in the bag for two people. I guess we were to share one fork and one napkin. I asked for sopapillas for each meal instead of tortillas. Well, they were consistent as only one sopapilla was included with the two meals. The restaurant...
Always at the top of my list while in Santa Fe for great green and red chili. Good friendly service and reasonably priced. This is a locals favorite often overlooked by tourists. Located at the south end of the railyard in an old Adobe building with great ambience. I highly recommend.
I love La Choza, it has always been my favorite spot. However, the quality was a bit lower last night. Chips were stale, queso was watery, and while my enchiladas were good, something about them didn’t seem as fresh. The waitstaff working last night all seemed pretty young, different from who has been working there for quite some time. One of the servers had his whole thumb in my food when he brought my meal.
