Aileen at the bar makes a mean whiskey sour. Food was delicious. Excellent lobster bisque & the grilled blackened grouper was very good. I sat at the bar and had great service.

My New York striploin was correctly cooked but the meat was of an inferior quality - not USDA Prime or even Choice, but at best Select or possibly even ungraded. The meat was tough and had a dry feel in the mouth, totally lacking in juiciness.

This is my professional opinion, as owner of a 5-star resort in Asia, Plantation Bay, “a Real Resort with a Real Spa”. We serve USDA Prime and Japanese A5 Wagyu. The first you can cut with a normal table knife. The second you can cut with a fork.

My New York striploin was correctly cooked but it was an inferior quality of meat, not USDA Prime, or even Choice, but at best Select and possibly even ungraded. The meat was tough and dry-feeling in the mouth, not juicy at all. Caesar Salad was better, among the best I've had around the US, but a far cry from the Hand-Made Caesar Salad made in my 5-star resort in Asia, Plantation Bay, “a Real Resort with a Real Spa”. (We also make steaks, USDA Prime and Japanese A5.)

Our server seemed anxious and overwhelmed though the dining room was not very busy on this rainy night. He didn't know the menu very well and had to ask his colleagues for details. When he brought out my Berkshire pork chop, he forgot to bring a steak knife so I had to use my butter knife until I could get his attention. Then while I was still consuming half of my entree, he asked if we'd like to see the dessert menu. Overall, service could be improved. Our trout and pork entrees were delicious. The mango ginger creme brûlée was just basic with barely a hint of mango.

Lovely ambience. Attentive service. The bread was cornmeal style...delicious! The dishes are elevated Santa Fe cuisine with mild flavorful sauces. The patio was quiet and removed from street noise. We could talk at normal conversation level! The restaurant and hotel are beautiful settings to gather with friends.

The menu keeps getting smaller, while the server(s) pleasant, they are extremely short staffed. Waiting for 30 minute or more just to give your order is frustrating. The food was just ok on this visit. Visit before was late in the lunch hour and the kitchen just forgot all about us. Again the waiter who works there is very nice and apologetic, but it's just not worth going back. I feel badly for the stores in the hotel who rely on restaurant traffic. It really is not fare to them. I live here. It used to be a go-to.

Service was slow, octopus was incredibly tough, fries came out 10 minutes after everything else. Overall not a great dinner.

A friend and I had dinner on September 23, 2025. The food was up to its usual high standard. The service was also attentive. All was well until about the middle of our evening. A woman came into the restaurant and sat at the bar. She seemed to know the staff. She proceeded to talk very loud and much of her talking was vulgar and sexually inappropriate. It was loud enough to be heard at our table across the room. My friend complained to the bartender who said there was nothing he could do. Incidents like this should be managed such that other guests are not offended. Essentially we will think twice before returning to Luminarias where I have frequented for many years. The woman's behavior negatively impacted an otherwise lovely evening, and staff need to be empowered to manage such incidents.

Excellent food and the surroundings are beautiful! There is an indoor as well as an outdoor patio but we ate inside since the evening was quite cool. The staff were very gracious but it was obvious they were very understaffed. Our poor server had to be the host as well as the bartender and still attend to multiple tables.

Outdoor lunch on a blue sky day! Mushroom soup was delicious and aromatic. Grouper tacos the right size. And Gruet bubbly!

4 of us came for dinner. Justin the waiter was excellent. One of us ordered the pork chop, which was excellent. The Filet Mignon was cooked medium rare OK, however something about the texture and flavor said this shouldn't be consumed. The lobster bisque presentation was great, however, it was mediocre. We selected this place for the convenience since we were staying in the hotel. With the other restaurant options around, I would suggest skipping this place.

Not what it used to be. Food was fair, limited menu, very poor service. Slow waiter that complained about corporate changes. Bummer.

Absolutely delightful and delicious dinner outside on the covered patio. I think our server was Juan ( sorry if I got his name wrong) but he was polite, informative and generally just a great server. LOVED our evening there.

The service was extremely slow and the food was almost a fair rating. Our wedding reception and dinner was at Luminaria 8 years ago and the good and service were excellent at that time.
