This was our first time at this restaurant and can't say enough how perfect it was. The service was excellent, our server Annette and wait staff were great. The food was amazing. We shared the tomahawk steak with mushrooms, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The bacon appetizer is a must! We don't live in Santa Fe. We live in Albuquerque, but we have committed to coming back every few months and treating ourselves to Annette and “Prissy” the chef and this amazing food! Rob says it was best birthday dinner he's had in forever! Thank you!!! Margaret Mikelson and Rob Dougherty
Service was slow to get to us...we ordered the tomahawk special steak...the meat was delicious. But it was served lukewarm, it definitely lessened our enjoyment of one of our fav cuts of meat. The sides were delicious. Our crème brulet dessert was also delicious.
We had read about how special this place was, and we had all really wanted to try it. This was our first time, and everything was wonderful. The food was amazing, and the service was impeccable.
Market Steer is Always one of my favorite, best dining experiences in Santa Fe! Highly Recommend
As always Market Steer was amazing; main dining room rather boisterous, but service, food cocktails were superb!
Fantastic meal and service. Smoked marrow bone was perfect! Steak was amazing. Service was incredible.
Market Steer is a must if you are in Santa Fe. It was our second time to dine there over the last few years when we've visited Santa Fe, and both have been perfect experiences. Consistently great food and service - and very convenient to get to if you are staying downtown.
This was our first time to Market Steer and we were very impressed. It is a beautiful setting and the ambiance is wonderful. Every single host, server, etc was 100% professional. The food choices were excellent and we never felt rushed. Now, for the only issue. But is a big one. We came there of course for the food. All was fabulous except for the ONE thing I really came for: the petite filet. I asked for it to be cooked ‘pink'. A true pink. I did that because their cooking scale is different from most restaurants. I didn't want it red -not cooked enough nor grey - overcooked. It came out cooked to a ‘very well done' level. I knew when they set it down I was in trouble. I ate a few bites but didn't finish it. They offered to cook another but we had an Uber scheduled and there wasn't time for that. What a disappointment. As much as I loved the overall experience ,I would probably would try some other restaurant for a steak.
Market Steer continues to be our family's favorite spot. We love this place, the staff, and the food. Simply the best!
It was a very enjoyable evening. Excellent room, good vibe. The service was excellent, couldn't have been better, very attentive but not bothersome. Good wine list. All courses were outstanding, foie gras- perfect, butter lettuce unique and tasty, a little too large though. The “special” rabbit was outstanding , much better than I was expecting. I'll be back.

Amazing food, amazing service and amazing experience! I can’t begin to describe what a terrific experience this was. The table side smores are a terrific way to end the evening.

We visited Market Steer recently and. . .great service, cool ambiance, but, hate to say it, the steak was pretty bad. It was perfectly prepared, exactly the right temperature and color, great crust. But it was dry and rubbery. It also arrived pre-sliced. If I had to guess, I suspect they cut into it without letting it rest long enough. So the result was a beautiful looking, bland, dry $60 piece of meat.
I get the need to turn over tables and can't imagine running a place as busy as this. . .but if you're a high end steakhouse, really your job is to get the steak right. Your mileage may vary, but we were bummed.

Ashley is an amazing bar tender. Every drink we ordered that she suggested based on our tastes was amazing. Sit at the bar if you don’t have a reservation- totally worth it!
