My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Market Steer steakhouse on Friday evening. We had a crafted wedge salad, which was perfect. My wife and I both enjoyed the 7 oz filet, medium with crab oscar on my filet, and lobster oscar on hers as an additional topping. Thet also had a very well rounded wine list including a Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. We definitely will return if we should ever find ourselves back in Santa Fe.

Amazing food. Lovely & prompt service. Good value for such a high-end culinary experience. Very special.

The recommendations on the filet mignon were excellent - and the meat was outstanding. I enjoyed being able to remove pepper from the default seasoning, while my husband greatly enjoyed the default amount of salt and pepper seasoning. The flight of steak sauces was fun. The sides were good and we particularly enjoyed the Mexican-style carrots. Perfect! The Grand Champion cocktail and the Pink Squirrel digestif were excellent. The latter was really unique, with an almondy flavor and a lily-like fragrance. The bread pudding with two different sauces was excellent. Menu items were worth the prices!

The atmosphere, the service, the quality of the meal is my favorite in Santa Fe....and always good to hear my husband say as we're leaving “the tab was way less than I expected for that experience “

Food is always great. New location is on the loud side, kind of difficult to hold a conversation, especially with tables so close together.

This place is so good. I love that halibut. Maybe the best halibut I've ever had.

Upscale steakhouse in santa Fe, the service is top notch, our waiter is super attentive and really patient to explain things to us and help us to pick our meal. no pushy or upsale just good service. during our visit their AC had a problem, so the manager came over to apologize and check on us multiple times. really attention to detail and caring.

we shared the bone marrow and mussels as appetizer. the mussels is a must have. i think it's the shiner bock beer really makes it very tasty.

two of us shared the tomahawk for main, is big and cooked to perfection. we picked the truffle butter and peppercorn demi, they are pairing really well with the steak. the waiter recommend the mushroom as a side, which is amazing.

in the end we packed our bones back home for the dogs and also packed the truffle butter home, they are so delicious not to waste.
make sure to pay them a visit if you want a great steak. Reservation is needed as they are booked out way in advance.

Market Steer is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Santa Fe. The steaks are top-tier—perfectly cooked and deeply flavorful. You can tell they care about sourcing and quality. The service is polished yet warm, making you feel totally taken care of without any pretense. Don’t sleep on the sides either. The veggies are delicious, along with the halibut entree. Ideal for a special night out or when you just want to treat yourself to something exceptional. Highly recommend!

We called for the dress code and it was to be business dress code !
We just had a great day at the golf course and was dressed casual ! We all went home and got ready for the evening !
When we walked in it was not dress code apparel for half the customers !
The drinks at the tack room where as expected. Continuing having our evening drinks at our table there were not the same ! They were more iced over and not enjoyable for a call drink .
The appetizer was good the bread was excellent and the salad with fresh.
My steak was one of the special cuts for the evening and was not to my liking for a special cut as they mentioned .
Half was fat gristle and the rest of the of the cut just was not tender !
Towards later in the evening our wait staff was not less frequent and had to wave the busboy for service !
I've been there prior to this evening dinner and I was very impressed !
But for this dinner experience it will be a while before we return for evening dinner or drink with our out of Town family or guests !
