Looking at the Google reviews that say the food is good, either those reviews are paid for or those people are on crack. Staying in the wonderful town of Santa Fe, we were looking for a break from the New Mexican food and said why don't we have Asian food for a change? Without a doubt this is the most awful disgusting Japanese restaurant in Christendom, perhaps the entire world. First of all, it is a rundown dingy environment, strike one. Honestly, not being a lover of uncooked Japanese food there are usually a few cooked dishes which are acceptable. I had the beef chow mein which had no resemblance to any chow mein I've ever had anywhere in the past 68 years of my life. It was MEINLY beef dog food sliced up in completely flavorless noodles with a few vegetables sprinkled in. Strike two, three, four, five, six and seven! The regular Japanese rolls that my family had were pretty awful as well. One of the dishes my daughter has was seaweed that nearly made her choke. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT EATING HERE. SAVE YOURSELF!

This has hot to be the worst wannabe Japanese sushi place in the whole country. Pathetic ambience - abominal servuce, and the chef needs to be educated on the basics if preparing sudhi

Best place in town, hands down! Very unassuming place next to a barber shop, but don't let that fool you! Freshest fish, great sakes (not Izanami's list, but really lovely). Sit at the Sushi bar to watch the masters in action. This place never disappoints. No atmosphere, but who cares when the fish is the star!

Took my grandkids here for a late lunch. The food and service were very good it is like a cafeteria type setting but quaint, good Japanese music as well. I had a very good pan beef with rice noodles, delicious. Everyone else had the rolls, avocado, California, veggie catapiller, tuna, happy, and the shrimp roll, with a side of meatless Japanese fried rice. They didn't have any mango mochi, but the strawberry one was good. It was a bit short on the edamame, but it was good. I did like their iced green tea, very tasty. The place is clean and the staff is very attentive. Plenty of parking.Vegetarian options: One of my granddaughters is a very strict vegetarian, and she enjoyed the menu items on it.

Best sushi in Santa Fe in unassuming location. Not much atmosphere but rolls are the best around.

This is ALWAYS one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in Santa Fe. 10/10 every time.

The fish servings get smaller and smaller.Have to think about ever coming back.Understood the price increase but the less food is not a good value. In 21 years having survived 3 owners and lots of changes, I get it.At $150 a dinner the serving sizes are not worth it anymore. Bummer

GREAT SUSHI! We sat at the bar and had a sweet little intimate dinner even though we were surrounded by a full restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and watching the itamae was fun to watch, he was very fast!Kid-friendliness: There were families that had lots of kidsWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible with plenty of accessible parking

Exceptional food. Waitress was impersonal, indifferent, unfriendly, unconcerned, and did not earn her 20% that we left. It's not that complicated of a job at a very simple establishment. Food was exceptional though.

We were definitely pleased with our dinner. The sushi was great and the server, Sophia, was the sweetest. We definitely will go back there when we visit again. We had•wontons (cream cheese filled- 1st pic)•shrimp tempura roll (2nd pic)•tiger roll (not pictured because it was so good we ate it too fast)•spicy tuna roll (last pic on left)•mars roll (last pic on right)We are a little picky about sushi, so we were happy to find some where that we feel is as fresh as possible being so far from water. The price of the rolls is definitely worth the money. They do not skimp on the fish!We can’t wait to go back!
