We 6 made reservation by giving 60$ deposit - required . We before sit down, the waitress quickly came asking for drink orders . Then for apps and then for diner . Place was empty when we got there at 5:00 pm when they open . Just Rush Rush Rush as if she wanted us to eat and empty the table so we leave !!!

13$ guac and salsa - very little guac !!!

Chips and salsa we had to pay .

Queaso - terrible .

Drinks - mediocre . And flat .

Diner portions very very small .

In 60 minutes , we were rushed out and charged $32 tip !!!!!

And they really behave with love and politeness with others customers . We ( browns ) did not get much of any of that at all .

So I strongly advise to stay away from this mediocre Mexican joint as there are many many many other reputable restaurants in town with every thing much better experience .

We will not return - for sure .

Not nearly as good as it once was. Most of the flavor and spice is gone. Just kind of weird. But that is a common issue lately in Santa Fe as places keep branding everything for tourist and Texans or whatever. Places almost need to have sub-options (local flavorful, bland). I want to support them so will probably try again in the future but it’s a low priority after last two visits.

Who would have thought that a small, very unassuming and out of the way Mexican restaurant would be thriving? This small gem is simple in decor, yet feels homey. Food is delicious and service equally good. It is one of those hidden places that surprise you even after many years of living here in Santa Fe. It was packed with people when we arrived, but we did not have to wait for a table. I took the pictures after the crowds were gone. Check it out.

Called ahead to confirm if they are able to make vegetarian chimichanga with veggies in it as opposed to may be just cheese and beans.Chef delightfully agreed to make it a custom order. Came with side of beans, rice and avacado. They are small in size (pack of 3) but quite good. Had a good time eating chimichangas we were craving!

A store owner recommended this place to us, said it was good, southwest and spicy but not too spicy. Definitely not spicey and was lacking flavor overall. We knew not to judge it too harshly since the recommender said it was more Southwest than Mexican so I went in openminded. As another reviewer mentioned, this place was underwhelming, and they charged for chips and salsa (a bad sign). I regret going here esp since we spent $80. I guess it’s supposed to be a hole in the wall type of place but the ambience was lacking. I am mostly disappointed in the food-esp after reading how many good reviews this spot gets. The salsas were not robust in flavor and were quite runny/watered down. Maybe the freshness of the food makes people think this is good? I was hoping for more Santa Fe.

We had a wonderful dinner with friends at Mucho Gusto this evening. Roberta, the server, took great care of us. I had their famous "The Bomb", and it was delicious. As were the wine Margaritas Roberta made for me. Thank you for a great night.

It was quiet, we could make a reservation, they had a big parking lot, easy to get to and most of all the food was delicious. We have 3 more nights in SF and will go back. Class act
