A slow restaurant with an older customer presence. Food was decent, but not exciting. The service was quite slow.

I really wanted to like this place, but alas, the food was so-so/average, and the service was less than stellar. I dined with my wife and 10 others at a large table during the Santa Fe Foodies meet-up. I tried the BLUE CORN ENCHILADA CASSEROLE with chicken and Red/Green Chile (Christmas). Added an egg. The green chile was somewhat flavorless, the red better with nice heat, but far from best in town (IMHO, thus far, Café Castros). The chicken was nice, as was the garnish of lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, and sour cream. But for $22, I was underwhelmed. My wife and four others had the special, which was Eggplant Parmesan. It was OK, but again nothing special, and the 'garlic' bread lacked much garlic and flavor. Service was subpar; the servers didn't know who ordered what, even though all the food arrived at the same time, which, for a table this big, can be challenging. We were presented with our checks without being offered dessert. No one recalled being asked if we were pleased with the food. The restaurant is rather loud, and the wooden chairs lacking cushions are rather uncomfortable. The food and service weren't bad, but it wasn't such that I'd be inclined to return, considering there are so many other, better options in this foodie town. It is nice that the restaurant has ample parking in this part of town. All in all, underwhelming, average, three stars.
Bagels made fresh daily... Anything on the menu is a good choice. Relaxed sitting, nicely designed.

Fantastic brunch spot! The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious — perfectly balanced with creamy hollandaise and hearty breakfast potatoes. The waffles with fresh strawberries were light and refreshing, and the cappuccino with a biscotti on the side was the perfect touch. Cozy outdoor seating, friendly service, and everything came out fresh. A real gem in Santa Fe!

Man! We both had the Smoked Salmon Benedict & it did not disappoint! Best we've had. The smoked salmon was of the highest quality. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly & the hollandaise sauce was excellent. Marco gave us excellent service! We will be back!

I came here for breakfast and sat outside. I ordered an iced tea from the server and waited 20 more minutes before leaving. He must have forgotten about me. The breakfast looked delicious so I was disappointed.

Runny eggs, hard pancakes, but delicious Mexican styled food.

Great café for breakfast. We are visiting Santa Fe for the weekend and this was the only place we found within walking distance of our hotel that offered a full breakfast menu. We were both glad we found this place. My wife had a simple eggs, potatoes and ham breakfast and I had huevos rancheros. Both excellent. We also ordered a slice of key lime pie to take away and have for a snack later. But we sampled it first. Well, we licked that plate clean in no time. Balanced flavor, fresh and light, topped with a sweet strawberry and whipped cream. Coffee was good too. Staff was friendly and kept checking on us without overdoing it. Lynn, one of the owners, stopped by and spent time to give us several suggestions on sites to see and things to do.

This is normally a five-star restaurant. We’ve been here half a dozen times over the last few years and have never been disappointed until today. The food was excellent as always. The problem is that this is a dog-friendly restaurant. We are dog owners and take our dog in a pet buggy to a restaurant. While we were eating outside on the patio, one dog owner allowed their dog off-leash to wander around the tables. We were the only other table in the restaurant patio. The staff did nothing to correct this despite the fact that a policy and apparently a law were clearly posted at the entrance to the patio. To make matters worse, a patron, coming to pick up her food, allowed her dog to walk off leash across the patio to our dog. When we asked her to control our dog, she acted like it was all our fault and told us just to relax. Staff did nothing to correct this problem, even though it was irritating to us, and we complained I’ve never seen such outrageous behavior by pet owners and their uncontrolled animals in a restaurant.
