It seemed like the staff was short-handed on the Sunday evening we visited, as things took quite a while between interactions. It was fifteen minutes after we were seated that our very good waitress took our drink orders, and it was another 20 minutes before the drinks arrived. The appetizer we ordered was the crispy polenta, with both sauces on the side, and it was excellent, though similarly slow in arriving. Our entrees covered a range of the menu, and all were excellently prepared. Two of us had the cod, one the vegetarian lasagna, one the breaded pork loin Milanese, and one the bone-in pork chop with creamy mushroom sauce. Hardly anything left over to bring home from those. We finished with espresso and a mix of sorbets and gelatos, all lovely.

We had never been there before and I made a reservation for Valentines Day. I was disappointed they sat us in the bar at a table that was definitely not big enough for the food we ordered. I would have much preferred the dining room. We dressed nice, and it was disappointing everyone else was in flannel shirts, sweatshirts, ball caps, etc. The restaurant is nice. It would be great if people could up their game just a little. We got calamari which we always get. We didn't particularly care for it. We got focaccia and that was good. I got the Tuscan pasta which was very good, and my husband got the pork chop. I think he liked it but wanted a side of pasta with it but could only get potatoes. Overall we liked the food and the restaurant is nice.

What a wonderful experience. We took our young daughters for a Valentine's dinner and they loved it! We are so appreciative of the gluten free options!!!

Food was cold, my husband never received his salad, my drink order was botched, our table wasn't checked on, very disappointing I have been there before and it wasn't like this..What Happened?

What a nice surprise. We generally eat near the plaza but this place was worth the drive. We will definitely go back next time we are in town.

We had heard about it but never visited before, and now we cannot wait to come back! The flash fried vegetable and crispy polenta appetizers were easily enough for 3 diners and full of savory deliciousness. Our server was outstanding, working way more tables than I ever did back in the day, and never leaving us to feel left out. He got us both sauces for the polenta and described all the entries with aplomb. Thank you, Jose! Our 3 entrees were cacio e pepe, tagliatelle with ragu, and the peporo. All were excellent, hot straight from the kitchen, and devoured down to the plate. No room for dessert; we will try next time. Cocktails were also special. Hard to choose which negroni to have. Again, will have to come back.

We read all the reviews and they were good. The pace was very dark, almost too dark to be comfortable. Our server was not very knowledgeable & he was forgetful. After a long wait they brought my wife the wrong order. So while we all had our food she had to wait even longer. The food was expensive and the servings were small. The food was mediocre at best. We will not return. (The previous Italian restaurant that was in the same location was much better)

Wow! Such an amazing experience! The service was so personal and attentive. The eggplant parmigiana was the best we've ever had: straight up layers of roasted eggplant accented with tomato sauce and sprinkled between layers with parmesan reggiano. No breading, no deep fried, no layers of mozzarella. Exquisite. Superb. The black cod was succulent! After our drinks were delivered, our server must've overheard me toast - from afar - to my husband's birthday. Holy cow! We received a beautiful - free dessert of our choosing - on a plate with Happy Birthday written in fudge. We will be back for sure! (We just moved to Santa Fe in October, 2025 and wanted to experience Piazza Caffe because we have been long-time customers of Plaza Cafe over the years during our visits to Santa Fe. Lovely location, wonderful ambience, best-ever staff! Thank you, PIazza Caffe!

Wonderful evening here... drinks, appetizers, wine, and entree all very very good... can't forget the desert either... the flourless chocolate torteis decadent... service was a bit slow, but we really didn't mind that as we were with friends and enjoying the company.

The house-made noodles are outstanding. The Tagliatelle Bolognese and Bucatini Carbonara are definitely recommended. Staff is very friendly and courteous. The wine list was lacking though and the focaccia was cold. It's great for a casual meal, but probably not for a special occasion.

What a wonderful food experience! I love the food here. I had the seasonal special, pumpkin ravioli. It was incredible. It was house made and tasted heavenly. The pine nuts on top were delicious and very tasty, too. I splurged and had a gelato for dessert. The cherry, chocolate, almond gelato was a good size portion. I don't get dessert very often so this was a very pleasant surprise. I always feel like I'm going back to Italy when I eat at this restaurant. It has a very welcoming atmosphere with pleasant servers and a variety of food options. My usual is the Spaghetti pomodoro. It is fabulous as well. I like to pair that with their small salad with a wonderful dressing. For take-out, the Margherita pizza is perfection. This pizza is as good as the pizza I had in Naples, Italy. Talk about authentic. For a short trip to Italy, I hardily recommend Piazza Caffe

A very pleasant surprise. We decided to try this new place sort of by accident, running an errand nearby.

The ambiance, the food and our waitress, Jessica, are just the best. It has become our place in a Santa Fe.

What a wonderful restaurant! It is a lovely space and they offer a menu FULL of delicious options. Hands down the best Italian food in town! It really is a delightful place to go for either a romantic meal or a big, joyful meal with friends and family. Just go!

The service was great. I loved the cold-weather specials—especially those pumpkin raviolis. I like the bar program too — some god NA choices but really nice cocktail and wine list.
